More Awesome Than You!

I've had the awesome mod for some time now, everything working fine. I bought WA today, went to install it, and the game WILL NOT LOAD. At all. The loading screen comes up with the loading bar, and the cursor is that annoying little spinning deal, but it will not load at all. I dont know if it's just something conflicting with the awesome mod, or if my computer just sucks. Help me please? :-\

Read the thread under "AwesomeMod" on "How To Install the Framework & AwesomeMod".  It sounds like framework fail.

That's very nice. Go read the thread he suggested as no monkeys can help you here.

Zou - looks like it hasn't been updated since June.

It doesn't matter if you have the installer monkey or whether the installer monkey has been updated.  Go read the thread.  There are easy step-by-step instructions there for making sure AM works with WA.

If you're going to ask questions, don't argue with people who give you answers.

I'm not sure why but my computer isn't allowing me to download the framework, it says Unexpected End of Archive.
But the d3dx9_31.dll is there, but when i go to copy it, it says Archive is either in unknown format or damaged.
Am i doing something wrong here?

If you already have a working framework, then all you need to do is follow the instructions. No need to download it again.

I'm not sure how to get the framework downloaded on my computer, since it says all that bs about the unexpected end of archive, and if the framework is working, then what is wrong with the game?

Important:  Clear your internet caches and also delete the 4 cache files from your Documents>Electronic Arts directory.  If you do not know how to clear your Internet caches, Google it.

Try downloading again.  If it still does not work, then try these alternative links:

That resource.cfg has not been modified to work with the new patch and have custom content show up, but I'm not sure what version of the game you are running.  Then follow the directions in the thread I originally pointed you toward (which Rainne has nicely linked for you, above).  If you have the latest patch and have problems with your content not showing up then proceed to "The Horror" and start following the directions in that thread.

I'm playing on the newest patch. 1.8 and WA is updated to 2.3.
I did everything you told me, and it still crashed on the loading screen.
So i tried to re-download the newest version of AM, thinking that i might've been outdated, and it still didnt work.
When i uninstall World Adventures, the game works perfectly.
So the framework seems to be working, the games are updated, with the AM updated, and still not working.
I'm not sure what to try next. I deleted the caches from the directory and my internet caches.

If the game works perfectly minus WA it means that you are failing miserably to read the directions to install the framework with WA installed. Especially when there is a thread in all capital letters that explains how to do just that!
