Title: Solved, thanks! Post by: Jackathyn on 2009 November 29, 11:02:55 Not in 'Oops, I broke it', because I didn't break it- on the contrary, even.
I'm sure you're familiar with the b0rk in question, accessories that start flashing blue once the wearing sim appears in-game after you've applied the offending accessory. I quite like some of these, and I'm willing to do the required legwork to fix it. However- I've done my homework, and found that the problem is usually caused by a cloned pair of glasses that only use 'frame' or whatnot, and didn't include any data for the other object components, so when the object figures out that these 'glasses' are missing 'lenses', it b0rks to blue. MTS2 has a link to a placeholder object file to correct the omission in the mesh, but the site they've linked is presently down. Does anyone have an alternative workaround, or a placeholder file that will work for this purpose? I'm one of those unlucky people who gets the blue flash every damn time the accessory-wearers are seen. I could ignore it for a while, but this neighbourhood is an elvish forest, so it's driving me bonkers to have flashing blue triangles everywhere where their ears fail.
