Hi just a quick question here from a long-time lurker who has gotten lots of good info from here over the years.

I'm getting annoyed with the "Aspiration Bar" that fills up so quickly and makes my sims into annoying permanent platinums before they're even elders. I play by trying to fulfill their wants, so perma-platinum kinda defeats the purpose for me.

Does anyone know of some kind of hack or cheat that will get rid of perma-platinum mode or reduce the aspiration bar level somehow?
I have tried the Lot Debugger and InSim, but they only seem to work when it's been achieved through a LTW.

Any help appreciated!

Lot Debugger can Toggle LTW Satifaction to turn it off.

I've tried that, and I think it doesn't work because they achieved perma-plat status through the aspiration bar that fills up throughout their life, not because they achieved a LTW.

I have found that Hook's mod works well by allowing the LTW meter to decay slowly over time. Here's the link

Just goes to show how having the right search terms can make all the difference!

You're welcome. If I remember correctly (haven't played in a while) the perma-plat sims won't go down to gold and below right away but they will over time. I remember thinking the mod wasn't working at first but it does.  :)

Thanks from me too.  I've been so annoyed that a whole raft of my slutty romance sims went permaplat in college just by sleeping around and now I can't even get them to be mildly uncomfortable.  WHat's the fun in that?
