Title: Issue with store CC and 1.4? Post by: Jellohelicopter on 2009 September 04, 17:02:07 I was directed to reinstall my game to fix an issue two weeks ago and I made sure to copy all of my downloaded content to add back to the game. Upon trying to add it on the launcher I get the following message: "Installation failed: Please make sure your game has the latest software updates and try again."
My current game version is listed as 1.4.6.00001 and the launcher says I am up to date. I assumed my files broke in the transition or I had left something vital behind to get deleted, so I downloaded a few sims3packs off of here. Adding them on the launcher gives me the same message. Is there some sort of work around or fix for this that could be achieved by the not so computer savvy? The weird part is all the stuff I actually paid for wouldn't work on the launcher, but a good 90% of the stuff I didn't buy but had loaded before I had to reinstall, loaded right in as easy as before. Post by: coconnor on 2009 September 04, 18:07:36 Try recompressing the files using either Pescado's SRC3 (found here under "Armoire of Invincibility") or JFade's tool (found on DJS Sims). Then, you can try reinstalling.
