Title: Private Wedding Crash
Post by: tms on 2009 August 24, 21:39:37
I was trying to marry a sim and righ after they exchanged rings and kissed the game crashed. I tried it again several times and it always crashed. So then I tried it with a different household. Same thing. It seems like it crashes at the exact moment where the new sim would be added to the household.

Maybe they're just not right for each other.

You double posted. You double posted with uninteresting information. Double fail.

It must have something to do w/marrying NPC's then cause in my game all of my Private Weddings are being performed just fine... so might wanna continue testing w/NPC's and then post in the "New Bug Thread" if this behavior (crashing) is 100% w/NPC's... and Good Luck!   :)

Send me the save before you married them and I will take a look. If you destroyed the save already, then this report is useless.

I haven't destroyed it yet.
How exactly do I get it to you?

This just happened to me also.  I'm using the newest build and it wasn't a NPC.

I used the wrong word when I said NPC. Wasn't thinking.
It was simply a non-active sim.

Inside the Electronics Arts folder in My Documents/Documents there should be a folder named Saves, send him the file of your saved game which ends in .backup extension, if you have already saved the game for at most 1 time after the crashsing wedding, if you have repetidly saved your game, then you have already destroyed it :(.

Do you send it in a PM?  It's too big to attach.  I have it saved right before the crash.  I won't send it or less tms can't send it.

Do you mean after the initial crashing? Cuz it happens anytime I attempt to have a wedding.

No. Right before your sims are about to be married, save the game. Send that, so that Pescado can see if the same thing happens on his computer as on your computer.

So do I just upload it to Rapidshare or something...

This bug has already been fixed now. The matter is no longer relevant unless it continues to occur in the latest version.
