Title: Skills and Ages Post by: kuronue on 2009 August 14, 23:29:53 I keep finding mention of toddler scattered about so, for easy reference, I've compiled a guide. All taken from posts on this site. ETA: To make it more useful, I'm also including lists of what skills can be learned at each development phase. Decidedly WIP.
Toddler: Todder-only skills: Potty-training: toddler potty Walk: Interaction Talk: Interaction Boosted adult skills: The following max out at three; upon learning the skill later in life, the sim will automatically advance to level three. Logic: Pegbox Music: Xylophone Art: Book series (Finger Painting 101, Handprints of the Masters, Don't Stay Within the Lines) Logic: Book Series (Counting for Those Who Cannot, Squares Are Not Triangles, Being Smart for Fun and Profit) Writing: Book Series (Bluish Eggs with a Side of Pastrami, the other two Dr Suess puns) You'll note all the books with the same thumbnail give the same skill. Furthermore, maxing out both the pegbox and book series gives level 4, not 6. Child: (WIP) Cooking: Child oven only (maxes out at three) Handiness: Blocks on toddler table (maxes out at three) Logic Fishing Painting Writing Teen: Gardening (Cannot be learned until now) Cooking (all) Music Handiness Athletic EDIT: Yup, I misread that thread. Children can gain handiness, not toddlers. Children can master Logic, Fishing, Painting and Writing skills.Title: Re: Skills and Ages Post by: alaira on 2009 August 15, 02:36:26 Boosted adult skills: The following max out at three; upon learning the skill later in life, the sim will automatically advance to level three. Logic: Pegbox Logic: Book Series (Counting for Those Who Cannot, Squares Are Not Triangles, Being Smart for Fun and Profit) Completing both of these will cause logic to advance to 4. I'm not sure what completing either on their own will do. Title: Re: Skills and Ages Post by: kuronue on 2009 August 15, 03:01:55 Updated first post

Handiness: Blocks on toddler table Unless my mind has gone completely bonkers, Toddlers learn nothing on the toddler table. Child age will learn Handiness 3 (upon learning the skill later in life) using Blocks on toddler table. It's a handy way of having toddler/child socialize tho. Title: Re: Skills and Ages Post by: kuronue on 2009 August 15, 04:01:44 I may have misread the thread that info came from - can anyone confirm for sure that that's a child thing and not a toddler thing?
Title: Re: Skills and Ages Post by: MattQuinn on 2009 August 15, 04:35:41 Teens can also, learn athletic skill.
Title: Re: Skills and Ages Post by: Gwill on 2009 August 15, 07:57:31 Can children pre-skill athletic? They can swim in the pool and work out with the stereo.
I've noticed that children can be tutored in skills they could not otherwise learn. Title: Re: Skills and Ages Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2009 August 15, 08:01:11 12s are unrestricted from learning basically every skill in the game, since they are able to do most things.
Title: Re: Skills and Ages Post by: BobDob on 2009 August 15, 23:35:51 You may want to include in your OP that you can stack the logic books and pegbox to start at level 4.
