Title: Neighbourhood File crashing Sims 2 Post by: Waller on 2009 August 06, 23:47:32 Hello,
The Sims 2 has been playing up to an extent recently, but it has been manageable with a bit of boolprop useshaders false and some good old fashioned computer bashing. Today however it has turned into the demon from hell! Aside from the occasional "emulation software" error, it is crashing during the loading screen to get to neighbourhood choice screen. After much teeth gnashing, reinstalling, patch loading etc. I have found the problem file - my saved neighbourhood file. Now what the heck do I need to do to it to get it to work again. The Sims runs fine without that folder, but crashes with it. If anyone suggests deleting all my saved simmies - I may cry. Please don't. Any help more than welcome - and feel free to abuse if needs be, especially if the cure is simple! Thanks :) xx Title: Re: Neighbourhood File crashing Sims 2 Post by: Ichigo on 2009 August 07, 03:46:17 I'm so non-awesome, but if I may be so bold as to suggest putting that file into your game, extracting your sims with SimPE, recreating the neighborhood, THEN deleting the offending file.

If not, SimPE cloning seems to be the way to go.
