Title: WTF are these dog-like things borking my game? Post by: lgphoto on 2009 June 12, 03:35:22 I saw a screenshot of this phenomenon on one of the More FUBAR Than You threads, but no explanation as to why. I have these annoying dog/human creatures showing up on my lots. The only interaction they have is pranking people. If I don't keep a close eye on my sims they end up getting water balloons thrown at them. I can't get them off my lots. They never seem to leave even after all other guests have left. Eventually they leave, only to return some time later. They also mess with my gameplay. If a Sim is in the vicinity of one and has interacted, the Sim just stands there idling and I can't get it to do anything else until it chooses something autonomously. I took out all my hacks and it's still happening. Any ideas as to why?

Post by: professorbutters on 2009 June 12, 03:39:29 Have you taken out ALL your CC, not just the hacks? This looks like a CC conflict to me.
Title: Re: WTF are these dog-like things borking my game? Post by: lgphoto on 2009 June 12, 03:45:06 Hmmm, you're probably right. I guess I wouldn't think of an object doing that kind of thing. I've had lots of issues with downloaded objects in the past though. Now to track down which one(s)....
Title: Re: WTF are these dog-like things borking my game? Post by: rosess on 2009 June 12, 03:45:23 Sinking pets had to do with bay windows, if I recall correctly. The odd hybrids might not be tied to the same issue, but it's worth researching, or simply deleting any bay windows on the lot to test.

So would the conflict only occur when the offending object is placed on the lot? Or does just having it in my downloads folder cause it? It was just a glitch. It should just go away.

Or is it in all of them? Hmm I haven't checked other neighborhoods because I only ever play one. I should go look. I also don't use SimPE because I'm on a Mac. Or is it in all of them? I've had pets who think they are sims and swear it's nothing I did. Sometimes they just get screwed up. No fixes that I know of though & I can't find threads to link to. Once in my old game before my computer died, I had a woman whos mother was a cat. For real. That was definaltely funny too. :D
