Title: The Sims 3 downloaded content on a Mac?
Post by: shaunsims on 2009 June 05, 23:05:42
Hi,

I am trying to use some of the downloaded content on The Sims 3 on the mac.

When I double-click a Sims Pack file it says:

You cannot use downloaded content with this version of The Sims™ 3 Launcher. Get the full version from the ‘Game Updates' tab.

My game version is 1.0.631.00002, the problem is all the patches I have downloaded are .exe and cannot be installed.

Are there any copies available for mac that I can have? Or anyone simply copied the files which are created/edited after the patch so I can fake install it?

Cheers
Shaun

The launcher for Mac has an official patch; if you don't apply that patch, it will not allow you to use launcher to install anything.

Anyway, don't use the launcher at all. Use jfadetool here: http://forum.jfade.com/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=466
