While it may not be a perfect likeness, I was pretty happy with the results. I think he's at least recognizably Goopy.
As for traits and all that, I imagine that everyone has a different notion of who Goopy really is. I certainly remember the first time I met him. A friend was over, and I was showing him the game:

Me:     "See, I built this house and made this whole family. All kinds of stuff happens. Oh, there's someone named Goopy walking by. Looks like little Melanie is going to say hello to him!"

Friend: "Is he going to molest her?"

Sadly, his shirt isn't in the base game. I feel like I saw it in the store, but I've been having trouble connecting to it to even look, so I'm probably wrong about that. I tried to at least match the colors with a different pattern. The shorts were fairly straightforward, save for the cargo pockets, but I couldn't recall what kind of shoes he had. The socks-with-sandals look seemed fitting enough. Hope you enjoy having this legendary sim in your game. If you make a better likeness, please do share!

Too bad there's not a bastard trait; that would definitely fit him.  Hmm, I'd give Goopy:

Hotheaded
Evil
Kleptomaniac
Loser
Clumsy

And yes, he'd definitely be a socks-and-sandals kind of guy, the oaf.

In TS2, Goopy was a nice (7 points), sloppy (2 points), outgoing (8 points), and lazy (2 points) Romance sim.  I would recommend:

Good
Slob
Friendly
Couch Potato
Flirty

I spent so much of my time trying to get rid of Goopy from Sims 2 and yet I am compelled to put him back. The power of Goopy compels you!

This is certainly one of the finest puddings created thus far.  Emma will be so pleased.

Also, all evidence to the contrary notwithstanding, there still is no Goopy!

That is my experience of Goopy, for sure. A scrub with NO MANNERS. Truly, Emma's soulmate.

Damn, ninja'd lol. I was going to make a Goopy as well. Though I admit I wouldn't have uploaded it here immediately, if not for Emma's sake. As noted, I'm sure she'll love this.  :p

I concur with BastDawn, but he needs the Inappropriate trait.  My Goopy was always walking in to houses uninvited (of course he had to be friends with the sim first.  My sims made friends with him before I realized how anonying he was)

I think I'll go with these:

Loser
Kleptomaniac
Clumsy
Inappropriate

Unless I make him a child, in which case I'd go with Inappropriate, Kleptomaniac and Loser and let the game pick his other traits as he ages.

You know, Goopy looks like the least goopy faced sim I've seen in TS3 as of yet.
