Title: robot has no clothes
Post by: LynnMar on 2009 April 23, 15:28:36
it has no default outfit for the man or woman.  Maybe it was not on the disc when I loaded the game but it has no damn clothes.   Did you ever hear of that?   ???

Assuming that this is a serious post and you are talking about servos...

Servos have no "everyday" clothes (at least not right out of the box).  They sometimes dress in clothing if they get jobs, which frankly makes them look stupid.
They can also not "try for baby", although they seem to waste want slots through wanting to have a baby.  There is no difference between a "male" and "female" servo, apart from the "female's" eyelashes and ribbon on the antenna on her head.

There are threads around here somewhere about changing the appearance of servos to make them look more "human" including clothes, IIRC.

thanks but she came to a wedding party and she had on the pink dress.  I don't know where is was hiding because it is not in CAS in any catagory.  Very strange.

You might be able to change outfits for the servos using the Clothing Selector.  I've never bothered, so I don't really know, but it can't hurt to try.

You can't see it in CAS as it's restricted to Servos only and Servos can't be created in CAS. Kind of like alien bits are by default.

It is in CAS in Debug, but the sim you'd create has a human head with a robot body for formal. Not recommended.

Click on servo > Change Into > Formal.
There's your dress.  That's the only way that outfit should be accessed.

I still say that pink dress looks stupid on the servo.

I have a replacement (http://modthesims2.com/d/206963).  The male servo formal outfit looks quite nice.

thanks Gwill.  I was looking for that replacement file at MTS yesterday,  but I got tired of looking so I said " aw forget it".

No wonder I couldn't find it in the search bar because I was typing in robot replacement instead of  servo.   ::) duh
