Title: the fighting skill, can be changed ??? Post by: edespino on 2009 April 17, 14:25:55 Hi, the new ffsdebugger show now the fighting skill of a sim. I known this grow up with body skiil and winning fiigths but can edit for diirect way ??? i use the figthclub but sometimes still geting no logical outcomes by example a little teen girl kick ass to adult male. this could be great to make very bad sims.
Thank you. Title: Re: the fighting skill, can be changed ??? Post by: rufio on 2009 April 17, 17:01:32 Battleskill seems to be related to body, logic, and mechanical, and supernatural creatures get a big boost as well. So if you want sims with more battleskill, increase those skills or turn them all into werewolves or something.
Title: Re: the fighting skill, can be changed ??? Post by: edespino on 2009 April 18, 00:05:18 ok, thank you for the info.
Title: Re: the fighting skill, can be changed ??? Post by: Gwill on 2009 April 18, 08:49:37 With thefightclub.package winning fights also increases battle skill. So does losing, but not by much.
I don't remember exactly, and can't be bothered to check the FM. Title: Re: the fighting skill, can be changed ??? Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2009 April 18, 09:36:46 Factors that affect fightskill:
1. Age. 2. Bodyskill. 3. Special Creatures. 4. Fights. 5. Mech/Logic. Note that the practical effect of age is mostly nil as both combatants will get the same flat bonus, cancelling out. This really only comes up if you somehow managed to get a fight such as adult vs. toddler, which is why the age mod was added: It isn't supposed to be possible to get such a fight, but it occasionally happens somehow. Title: Re: the fighting skill, can be changed ??? Post by: Jelenedra on 2009 April 18, 22:30:10 Toddler/adult fight? Whaaa?
Title: Re: the fighting skill, can be changed ??? Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2009 April 18, 22:37:26 It's not supposed to happen, but that's pretty much what the agemod is in there for, in case something really weird happens.
Title: Re: the fighting skill, can be changed ??? Post by: BastDawn on 2009 April 19, 04:16:40 I don't see fitness in that list. Is that intentional?
Title: Re: the fighting skill, can be changed ??? Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2009 April 19, 04:20:48 Fitness itself is not ruled to have a direct effect on combatness, being that being fat also provides advantages. Also, we need MOAR BastDawns in grah.
Title: Re: the fighting skill, can be changed ??? Post by: jolrei on 2009 April 20, 12:52:39 Is there a documented case of a toddler winning a fight with an adult?
Title: Re: the fighting skill, can be changed ??? Post by: mistymage on 2009 April 21, 12:04:10 Ever try giving a fussy toddler yucky tasting medicine? Oh, sorry, you were talking about the game.
I wonder... do toddlers interact with pets? I could see a fight ensuing because the kid pulled on kitty's tail. Or a toddler to kid fight happening as they "fight" over a toy. Title: Re: the fighting skill, can be changed ??? Post by: nekonoai on 2009 April 21, 13:00:57 So that's why zombie aggie isn't eating any brains... she has NO body skill.
This will make for interesting plot... hmm.... *rubs invisible beard* Title: Re: the fighting skill, can be changed ??? Toddlers can only "Cuddle" the pets, which (at least with cats) looks more like "Squeeze Half to Death," but it still gives ++ relationship. (Maybe there should be a mod that changes that...) Supposedly, in AL there is a Torment interaction that children have with their toddler siblings, but I have yet to figure out how to make it appear. Title: Re: the fighting skill, can be changed ??? I've seen them do it spontaneously. Evil little sods. Title: Re: the fighting skill, can be changed ??? Post by: simsfreq on 2009 April 22, 10:59:53 You can get children to "Tease" their toddler siblings. They hold a toy out of their reach until they cry, basically. I think that has always been possible though.
Title: Re: the fighting skill, can be changed ??? Post by: vecki on 2009 April 22, 12:40:51 Yeah, kids can 'tease' toddlers. Kids can also 'torment' other kids (as can teens and other teens) - as the want says, sometimes the only way to show you care is to make a royal nuisance of yourself. Ok, maybe it doesn't say that exactly. They barge up to the other sim, wave their arms in their faces, grab at them and run off. If the target accepts, they run after the instigator and give back as good as they get, and the relationship moves upward. Apparently the target can also refuse to play along, and turn into a giant puddle of tears.
I've not yet seen the second reaction to tormenting, even if they don't know or like each other. Apparently my sims enjoy a bit of arm waving too much. Title: Re: the fighting skill, can be changed ??? Post by: rufio on 2009 April 22, 20:31:54 Yeah, I've seen that one, but not the toddler thing.
