Title: Skillinator and watering plants?? Post by: mappam on 2009 March 22, 17:52:10 I added gardening to my sim and she will NOT stop watering.
I have even done "moveobjects on" and moved her to the front of the house and she just goes right back. I do have sprinklers on the garden plots but it seems to make no difference. Clicking the icon to stop does nothing - just re-adds it again. Is this broken - did I do something wrong - is it normal ;) ?? What can I do to get her to stop watering? THANKS! I've had trouble with the queue not dropping before that was a conflicting hack. Try telling her to do something else first then crossing out the box.

Post by: dragoness on 2009 March 22, 21:46:36 Yes... if you want her to gain Gardening skill in the most efficient way possible, she will go find a plant and overwater it if there isn't anything useful to do. Being overwatered hurts the plant, yes, but each time you water it its health gets a bonus, so the plant won't even be upset by this treatment.

She finally did stop watering - ohhh that poor plant ::) As long as this in "normal" I can deal with it (and now expect it may happen again). I will try the Farmer route the next time. Pescado on 2009 March 23, 04:43:51 Ordering Skill Gardening will perform normal gardening if possible, but pick a hapless victim to water for badge points until gold if there are no "normal" gardening chores to do. I wouldn't worry too much, though. If you hover over the hapless plant, it's probably the thrivingest plant you have. :P
If Macrotastics is doing some weird behavior, consider that it might be doing it because it is smarter than you. |
