Title: Apartments in University (for YA's)? Post by: TheCheat on 2009 March 12, 06:13:57 So has anyone tried to see if apartments actually work in University neighborhoods for Young Adults? The default apartment lots aren't available while on a University 'hood in the Specialty Lots bin, so I wanted to come here and ask about functionality before I wasted time building my own.
Basically all I want to know is if the functionality would even work or not. Obviously there'd be logistical issues like the YAs not being able to afford rent without being wired/given money, but that's a seperate issue. I did a search about this both here and on Google but didn't find any real answers. Title: Re: Apartments in University (for YA's)? Post by: Bugger on 2009 March 12, 06:15:56 No, the apartments don't really work in uni hoods. Yes, Pes has a solution for that I believe. Check the apartment hack - that might be the one.

So, quick question: Is there a fast way to copy apartments to the normal houses bin so I can put 'em there? I was thinkin' of placing them and then re-binning them, but I'm unsure if it would just get thrown back in with itself in the Specialty bin or not. Title: Re: Apartments in University (for YA's)? Kills the issue with having to screw around with apartment binning, but creates an issue with dorm binning. You have to bin them as residential initially.

If I build dorms and/or residences in the Uni subhood, and then move them to my base hood uni, will the controller still work? Anybody know?
