Title: Wrong alien abduction memory Post by: Budcot on 2009 March 02, 15:45:29 My sim teenager was abducted but everyone in her family believes it was her mother who was abducted, even her. She has memories for her mothers (fake) abduction and for her own (real) abduction. Would it have been a hack which caused it and is it safe to try and alter the memories with simpe so that the correct person will be remembered as being abducted?

The Sim who got abducted, Cam, has a memory of getting abducted, and his alien daughter is definitely his, but everyone else has a memory of Cam's husband Rocky getting abducted, including Rocky and his extended family. So far, nothing's gone horribly wrong, and about a generation has passed since the abduction. Subsequent abductions (non-forced) have resulted in the correct memories.
