Title: Merging of sims bodies. Is this sign of corruption? Post by: discrete on 2009 February 28, 23:08:45 (http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/6695/merging.jpg) (http://img19.imageshack.us/my.php?image=merging.jpg) This is happening in an owned restaurant and I also saw this in one of my household. I'm asking because I read in a LJ that merging of sims bodies is a VBT and that the neighborhood will end in BFBVFS. I did a search but I found nothing. Title: Re: Merging of sims bodies. Is this sign of corruption? Post by: Mordant on 2009 March 01, 00:41:21 It's just an ordinary glitch. Nothing to worry about.
Title: Re: Merging of sims bodies. Is this sign of corruption? Post by: jolrei on 2009 March 01, 01:21:36 It is, of course, totally immoral and DISGUSTING. Have those sims killed immediately!
I once had a sim go through the whole "grow-up day" of her son with him attached to her head - got stuck when she threw the toddler into the air. That hood is still functioning normally. Title: Re: Merging of sims bodies. Is this sign of corruption? Post by: FourCats on 2009 March 01, 01:46:17 It means you need moar cats. Get your sims a pet.
Title: Re: Merging of sims bodies. Is this sign of corruption? Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2009 March 01, 01:57:14 That is just a clipping bug. It happens simply because the collision detection in the Sims is not really that well modelled, and is harmless.
Title: Re: Merging of sims bodies. Is this sign of corruption? Post by: witch on 2009 March 01, 08:21:50 Talking about collision detection, I had a cool collision in Pet Stories the other night. See, this bloke took this sheila out for a feed. Straight after the feed the staff start spewing their rings out.
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v730/nz_witch/StafVomit.jpg) Not at all phased by the display of synchronised vomiting on the part of the staff, our bloke and his sheila stand chatting in the kitchen in puddles of vomit Then they join in. You might almost say they go head to head. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v730/nz_witch/DualVomit.jpg) Then they went off to the photo booth to get pictures to remember the evening. Yeah, right! Jolrei, those two are Townies and Census tool told me that my neighborhood lacks females. I will not kill them yet. ;) FourCats, I sure will if they win a playable status. :) Witch, this is funny. ;D Title: Re: Merging of sims bodies. Is this sign of corruption? Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2009 March 01, 09:05:03 What happened, did they see the Butt's butt?
Title: Re: Merging of sims bodies. Is this sign of corruption? Post by: witch on 2009 March 01, 10:46:16 Must've. That Butt's sure got a large radius effect.

I will not kill them yet. ;) At least smite them, so that they should know the fear that you felt. Since it's being spread that this phenomenon is a VBT, I wonder how many people have trashed their 'hoods when it happens to them? It has happened to me a few times. Title: Re: Merging of sims bodies. Is this sign of corruption? Post by: kazebird on 2009 March 01, 20:29:06 Collision with objects is very common, especially during social interaction.

I would be disappointed if I had to restart my BAAC hood. I'm really enjoying this challenge.Title: Re: Merging of sims bodies. Is this sign of corruption? Post by: Marhis on 2009 March 01, 23:32:35 I had a worse case of sims' overlap. It was during the test of a sex hack, and it was extremely creepy.

Thanks :D Title: Re: Merging of sims bodies. Is this sign of corruption? Post by: snowbawl on 2009 March 02, 17:21:13 I had a worse case of sims' overlap. That would make a damn fine avatar! The only glitches I have ever had involved babbies getting stuck to people. I chalked it up to velcro sleepers and hippified social bonding to the extreme. ;D Title: Re: Merging of sims bodies. Is this sign of corruption? I thought that was just some great feature a sequel should have.Title: Re: Merging of sims bodies. Is this sign of corruption? Post by: kazebird on 2009 March 02, 21:10:30 If there is collision detection, then why is this the most common glitch in the whole damn game!
Title: Re: Merging of sims bodies. Is this sign of corruption? Post by: Callista on 2009 March 03, 05:17:02 Well, you have to admit it's amusing.
