Title: Broken Stoves
Post by: queenbrat on 2009 January 26, 08:39:41
Is there an easy way to get rid of a stove that has a burnt item on it but seems to be stuck? This has happened a few times to my Sims in all different neighborhoods. They will burn something and instead of letting them get rid of the burnt item on the stove or in the oven, it just sits there and they can't touch  it. I also can't delete the stove because it thinks it is in use. So far my method of getting rid of it is to stick it in the yard and when there are a lot of leaves around it, set it on fire. Usually the stove burns up then. I am quite sure this  isn't what most people do, so I am looking for a better way. lol

Use the move objects on cheat and then delete the stove.

You could also use the Stuck Object Remover.

In Debug, shift-click, force error, delete. Rebuy. Hoorah!

I'd actually prefer this method. I always just delete it. Well, the two or three times it's ever happened to me. I don't get a lot of kitchen fires.

Thank you all. You would think I could remember this stuff. This last fire was stupid. She has all her cooking skill points and managed to set herself on fire making pancakes. In any case the stove is gone now.  ;D
