Title: Is there a way to have grocery home business (pre-season produce)?
Post by: Lion on 2009 January 13, 21:38:53
I want to have a home business and mark for sell those produce bins, freezer bins, and display freezers (that came with NL?). But they are only available in the buy catalog in a community lot. I remember there were community-to-home conversion mods, but they seem to be gone.

I tried to have a sim own a community lot,  go there, and buy those, but then I couldn't put them in his inventory to bring home. So that plan does not work. Anybody knows a way?

You could always try converting an unoccupied home lot to commercial, setting up the business, converting back to residential (you need to start residential so tha tyou have a mail box because it's unbuyable in an un-modded game) and then moving your Sims in.

Make overrides for OBJDs to edit their category, and put them under Bins folder to avoid CC asterisk.

I remember there were community-to-home conversion mods, but they seem to be gone.
There was one in MTS2, which was pulled down because of GUID bug.

You can use collection files in pre-BV EPs.

Madame Mim, it works very well. Thanks.

Sadly, Lord Darcy, I have all the EPs.

I read somewhere that groceries bought this way don't appear when the playable customer gets home, so they lose the money without getting the food. Or is my memory faulty?
