Title: LTW = 5 Top Level Businesses FAIL Post by: funkilla on 2008 December 14, 00:52:10 I made a Malcolm Landgraab for my neighborhood, and he owns 5 businesses.
3 of them I worked into Rank 10s. The 4th business, just as soon as I ranked it up to 10 and did something, an item went out of stock, a customer got pissed off, and lost a customer point thingy. That dropped it back down to a Rank 9. Easily enough, I fixed it, and it went right back up to Rank 10. So that's only 4 Top Level Businesses. Only, well, thanks to EAxis Code of FAIL, the game thinks I have 5 Top Level Businesses when I only have 4. Is there a fix for this? It's possible to fulfill that want with only 1 business. :P You can use Pescado's Lot Debugger to toggle off the perma-plat state and turn it back on when your sim has his fifth Rank 10 business, if you want.

Title: Re: LTW = 5 Top Level Businesses FAIL Post by: professorbutters on 2008 December 14, 02:35:48 This is, in fact, a classic exploit, aka the "cheaty" way to do this. It is how I fulfilled the LTW a second time after my Legacy family had already done it.
It is still a pain when it's done with a Fortune Sim, as they are usually rolling the Fear of Losing A Star or Business Drops a Level. The very few times I've seen an aspiration failure included two of these. So I'm not sure if it's really "cheating," since you have to risk that. In any case, yes, you can nuke it with the Lot Debugger. PB |
