Title: Pythagoras window won't go on diagonal wall with M&G? Post by: nocomment on 2008 December 10, 07:18:24 The Pythagoras window is the triangular window from OFB. I have Apartment Life, but not Mansions and Gardens. I've confirmed that the Pythagoras window works properly without M&G. People at N99 are reporting that with M&G, that window can no longer be placed on a diagonal wall. Any theories what could cause this? Would a fix be difficult?

Post by: IgnorantBliss on 2008 December 10, 14:10:15 Since I read about it at N99, I've been trying to figure out the cause and a fix, but so far with no luck. I can't see anything obvious that makes it not go on a diagonal wall. The window clearly does have a diagonal version, but for some odd reason it doesn't work. I also tried cloning another window from the same set and importing the mesh into it, but for some reason it made my game crash completely. It's been a while since the last time I made windows, so it's possible I just made a mistake. I will look into it again when I have the motivation to fix things :P

Post by: Menaceman on 2009 March 31, 17:19:58 Sorry bout the necromancy m'kay but I wanted to know if the whole 'triangular window not working on diagonal walls' has been fixed yet or not? Any body figure it out? I've been redesigning lots and it's driving me mad that I can't use it on diagonal wall pieces.
I've already had to relegate two game windows to the 'do not use pile' and I'd hate to have to add another. |
