Post by: Darby on 2008 December 07, 07:46:30 May I ask what size lot you used?
At any rate, it's absolutely fabulous - thank you! *yoink* Title: Re: Perdition Apartments - for your sims with more money than braincells. Post by: MsMaria on 2008 December 07, 07:55:25 Wow. It is gorgeous. Must have taken you quite some time to complete this. *promptly downloads*
Title: Re: Perdition Apartments - for your sims with more money than braincells. Post by: witch on 2008 December 07, 08:20:28 Before I even mention the apartments, your wonderful commentary must be noted. I also enjoyed simJolrei's initial poses. Lovely. The alien abduction was a definite highlight. Your flats already have a history for me now. :D
This is a terrific lot, Son of Perdition. You wouldn't want to be coming home pissed if you lived in the Penthouse though. Title: Re: Perdition Apartments - for your sims with more money than braincells. Post by: Emma on 2008 December 07, 13:25:28 This is lovely ;D Nice job jolrei!

Your flats already have a history for me now. :D And it was all completely random - no cheating. I love little bonuses like that. May I ask what size lot you used? This is on a 4x4 lot. I was worried about lag during the building process, but it play tested quite nicely. Title: Re: Perdition Apartments - for your sims with more money than braincells. Post by: Darby on 2008 December 08, 20:01:31 Yay! 4x4 is as big as I prefer go for a residential, so that and positive playtest results are good to hear. :)

Nice job! I'm always looking for good apartment buildings, since I can't design a building for crap... :) Title: Re: Perdition Apartments - for your sims with more money than braincells. Post by: mildlydisguised on 2008 December 28, 15:51:36 I am loving the apartments, O esteemed alter ego. However when I moved my sim into the Penthouse suite, I noticed the master bathroom's toilet needed cleaning! My posh sim had to get his hands dirty as he hadn't yet employed a butler.
(http://img352.imageshack.us/img352/8687/snapshotf64c2cd51663c32yu4.jpg) Edit - Hmm.. the dirty toilet might not be down to sim jolrei not leaving the apartment as he found it after all. I appear to have lost my sim, seen cleaning above, in some bizarre neighbourhood randomness. Further investigation is required. Disclaimer - Please note I am not accusing jolrei's apartment of killing my sim... yet! Title: Re: Perdition Apartments - for your sims with more money than braincells. I'll check the file. As to your sim disappearing, I'm not sure what would cause that. The Apartment checks out with clean installer, and there should be no CC in it at all. I hope you get him back. Title: Re: Perdition Apartments - for your sims with more money than braincells. Post by: mildlydisguised on 2008 December 29, 17:09:59 Well I did get Mr Moneymaker back although I am still unsure what his fate was. I resurrected him and his last three memories were losing a fight with the social bunny. I can't remember whether sims get a memory of their death after resurrection though. I'm pretty sure that it wasn't anything to do with your Apartment though as I moved him back in and all is well this time around.
Edit - the dirty terlet was dirty when I moved him in for the second time too! I like it, it is a feature ;) Title: Re: Perdition Apartments - for your sims with more money than braincells. Post by: SaraMK on 2008 December 31, 11:56:08 I'm pretty sure that it wasn't anything to do with your Apartment though as I moved him back in and all is well this time around. I like how, after going to the trouble of resurrecting him, you had him repeat the exact steps that led to him getting zapped into oblivion in the first place. I bet you even had him clean that dirty terlet again, too, didn't you? :D Title: Re: Perdition Apartments - for your sims with more money than braincells. Title: Re: Perdition Apartments - UPDATED! Now with clean terlets. Post by: jolrei on 2009 April 26, 03:04:26 Better late than never. Updated Perdition House, just to annoy those who decided to do their own renovations, convinced that I would never get to it.
Update includes: 1) replacement of dirty terlets - all fixtures are now pristine and new. (This change dedicated to Mildlydisguised) 2) added missing wall coverings in one bathroom - walls are now tiled. 3) added floor tiles in yet another bathroom where there was only bare plywood before. 4) fixed inaccessible drum kit. Lot has been playtested and magic wanded (for whatever that's worth). Get it at the original post of the thread. Title: Re: Perdition Apartments - for your sims with more money than braincells. Muahaha. Er, I mean... thanks this is grate. I will use your apartments to get ideas for upgrading mine. (Moar pretentious than you?) Title: Re: Perdition Apartments - for your sims with more money than braincells. Post by: MuertoElBarto on 2009 May 08, 23:05:02 Thanks, Jolrei, I downloaded this last month, and it plays nicely. It was the first apartment I've been able to use since AL, since my game has a lot of families at current time - most apartments are way to small, and the Maxis ones are horrible. I only wish that I was aware of the magic wand then, as without it, the best they could afford was the larger ground floor unit. Next group to move in takes the penthouse.
BTW, the grill at the ground floor was spun. Sims got hoongry! :'( Title: Re: Perdition Apartments - for your sims with more money than braincells. BTW, the grill at the ground floor was spun. Sims got hoongry! :'( I swear, every time I go in to alter the thing, some other bloody thing gets buggered. Last time it was the drum kit in the "music/games" area (inaccessible). Now it also appears (in my game) that there are two bass guitars and no regular guitar (not really my intention). Now the grill. >:( These issues are noted - I will try to get an updated version up shortly. |
