As it's already the fourth of December, I'm bored and I was poked, I'm taking the initiative this month and posting this thread. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find the freakiest furry downloads you can. I daresay you all know the rules.

It's supposed to be a white tiger, but I'm thinking donkey and a cat tail with some sorta circulatory problem. Those definitely aren't stripes...

WTF is that!

I haven't tried it myself, it requires five CC components beyond what's included to have it work, and that lovely skin texture appears to be AWOL entirely, so I'm not even sure it would work anymore. But screenshots of it and the original mesh (http://nene.modthesims2.com/download.php?t=101798) give me the impression it's static and stays perfectly rigid regardless of movement.

I think it's supposed to be a My Little Pony, and the things on her arse would be the small pics on the arse of MLPs. Like so:

Closer inspection (ugh) leads me to believe they are yellow submarine tattoos. I don't think that makes things any clearer though.

According to "inspirational" picture in the linked thread they appear to be something resembling Christmas ornaments with pink flowers on them. My daughter assures me that she has never seen this particular pony and "That is just horrible anyway Mom, why do adults do weird stuff like this? That's just wrong!"

I made the mistake of picturing what would happen if I actually had this and "the pony" in my game. I may never sleep again.

The one of the bunny shirt, I believe, is the fulfilment of the prophecy that "Someone is out there right now making the blue leopard skin."  And, if anyone remembers their Sims2DVD Extras DVD, they should remember that.

Somehow I realized that monstrosity was supposed to be Kimono (http://www.ponytopia.com/2003-3/profiles/03_kimono.htm).  Which makes the arse marking paper lanterns.  I think I bought this one for one of my little cousins one year for Christmas.  As for how I could possibly connect the two, I have no idea.

awful and/or disturbing. Since furries are disturbing by nature, and since some of those skins are really WTF in nature, they qualify without lacking quality.

As a general fan of furries I can see how a well made skin would be fun to have in the game.  If it weren't for the fact that I actually enjoy the cartoony default skin, hair, etc. I would be quite likely add them to my game.  However, as this thread clearly demonstrates, well made furry skins are strongly lacking.  I've looked for them and come up empty several times.  Genensims probably has some of the best stuff but, then again, they also have terrible stuff.  (Their biggest flaw is their preschoolesque color choices in many cases - tigers aren't neon orange.)  Anyway, I'd go back and find some of the terrible, terrible things I've run across, but I don't want to damage my ability to find good furries in the future by intentionally seeking out badness.

What bothers me more about this "Skunk" is the bad presentation (leaving ALL of CAS screen in the preview pic), and the choice of clothing. The skin itself looks flat in the photo, so I downloaded it, to see for myself how it looks in the game. I'll be back and post an in-game pic later.

I like the fact that she has two sets of ears.
(Her tail was a no-show, and I can't be bothered to figure out why it's not showing. Probably I downloaded the wrong mesh, whatever)

The disturbing thing, aside from the fact that they are FURRIES, is that Sims is a genetics / breeding game, to an extent, and I can't see ANY of these horrendous things breeding well, even with other fur things of the same type.

Nightmarish.

Well, since they all involve custom skins, the only way to really use them would be as default replacements and most people just don't have that kind of commitment to furries.  And warped faces are just dumb - the people who made those need to pick a new game to taint.

That's had me squicking as well, Lorelei. Just imagining the spawn of My Glitter Pony and Mutant Bunny Chick, for instance, makes me want to dunk my brain in a nice, big, cleansing vat of lye.

Sheesh, if people want to be that... uh... wtf-ish, they need to go download Furcadia and be wtf-ish there.

I agree with Avalikia though -- having a well made skin in game without the warped faces would be fun. I mean, what fantasy neighborhood would be complete without one or two furries running a muck?

I just think that the Sims 2 game engine isn't very conducive to making such things.

You'd be better off using the geneticised versions of the Enlaya Pixie skins for a fantasy hood - at least they're well made and look good in game.

Furries are just yuck and the typical poorly textured fare available for TS2 make furry sims double yuck. In reference to the bunny-wolf breeding experiment, I'm not sure that it's any worse than the therapist spawn that almost everybody inflicts on a sim at least once before deciding it was a really bad idea.

Oh look, a two for one furry special. Not just a sickly looking skunk, but a sickly looking skunk with an angry duck tattooed on her nose.  :P

Augh!  That is NOT how you do hybrids.  I dunno what the "right" way to do hybrids is (or if such a thing exists outside of the theoretical - after all, aren't furries already supposed to be hybrids?).  But that's definately not the way to do it.

I imagine the difference is that furries are supposed to be anthropomorphic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthropomorphic), whereas "hybrids" are humans with animal traits. The furry take on either element is pretty scary and failure prone regardless though.

The only difference is that one is more japanese than the other.
