Title: Changing the category of walls and floors? Also sort order? Post by: Kangals on 2008 October 27, 16:19:34 I would like to be able to reclassify, as examples, a wall that is listed as paint to wallpaper, or a floor listed as stone to tile. Is there some way to do this for a) Maxis stuff; b) custom content?
The other thing that is bugging me is that related sets of custom walls or floors show up all over the place. Is there some way to modify the sort order for custom content? I know I can make collections, but I already have so many of these and as there is no way of expanding the display it becomes painful to find the relevant collection. The Maxis related walls stay together - surely there is some way to have the same thing happen for custom content? Title: Re: Changing the category of walls and floors? Also sort order? Post by: Iridium on 2008 October 27, 18:02:40 There's a tutorial by Phaenoh on MTS2 about recategorizing which will give you some clues on how to do this. She talks about recategorizing items in buy mode but there's some discussion in the thread on how to extend that to build mode items.
