Title: Sims disappearing when going to community lots Post by: rufio on 2008 October 24, 03:12:54 I had a bad glitch today where two sims who I sent to walk to a community lot did not show up, and were not present at the home lot when I exited without saving. I managed to recover them with Inge's teleporter. I'm wondering - is this most likely a problem with something in my Downloads, or a problem with AL (or whatever EP introduced the Walk To Lot fuction), or something else? I vaguely recall people complaining about sims getting lost when going to lots long before AL came out. I'm not really looking forward to testing this with binary search and possibly permanently losing sims, is all.
Title: Re: Sims disappearing when going to community lots Post by: jolrei on 2008 October 24, 04:04:41 There are no "walk to lot" problems in my game, nor have I seen anything posted that points directly to loss of sims when using "walk to lot" in AL. Consequently, my suspicion is on "tight pants". Sorry.
Test in a vanilla game (move your Downloads folder out to your desktop) and you'll know pretty quickly if that is the case. |
