Title: how does vampire/zombie aging work?
Post by: EsotericPolarBear on 2008 October 16, 16:48:03
Or rather, would it be possible to copy that into werewolf and witch?  I don't want my supernatural sims to age, but I don't want aging turned off for everyone...

So where do I find the function and how do I copy it into witch and werewolf stuffs?  (I'm not specifically asking "how do I copy" but rather, what do I need to make sure to  copy and what part links to what..)

You have to hack the aging controller. It's a right pain in the neck and I recommend you avoid it.

For some reason this doesn't surprise me.

Guess I'll see if I can find something to approximate it.

During my brief foray in modding, I tried to mod the age controller so that zombies would age. The results were...interesting to say the least. Some zombies would still not age, while others would age every hour instead of every day. Though the logic made sense to me when I looked at the code, I never could get the darn thing to work.

Couldn't you just get the individual aging off hack? Or was borked by AL?

Found it last night..it seems to work fine.

That actually sounds like sensible behaviour (not that you did it on purpose). I can imagine that just as not all resurrections are entirely successful, not all zombies are created equal; some would hold up *really* well while others would be on the fast track back to the grave.  ;D
