Title: Command-line fix
Post by: Marvin Kosh on 2008 October 01, 14:54:17
Apparently (http://forum.spore.com/jforum/posts/list/6301.page), adding -jobPriority:0 to your command line may fix some of the lag issues.

So bumping up the process priority fixes lag, eh?  Have to try that later.

I haven't had any lag issues, but my computer has beefy arms.

I only get lag when there's a lot going on on the screen, such as a multi-ship space battle.  My system has beefy arms too, so this is the only sore point.

*laughs at your lag issues*

The only delay-type issue I have is that sometimes planets don't render for a few seconds after entering a solar system. Wars aren't an issue, even on dumb T3s.

That's my experience as well.  My real problem is that the game crashes in the Space stage, apparently at random.  Frequently.

The 1.1.0.358 version didn't crash anywhere near as often, except that it locked up in two crucial areas - black hole transits and starting a new Cell stage.

Well it's no surprise that it's a fix for an unfix caused by the patch.
