Title: Going to School Post by: shadow on 2008 September 14, 04:06:25 I'm playing an apartment complex with children. My playable child got on the school but but the others did not. Okay. When 3:00 came around I get pop-ups telling me all the other children lost a grade because they missed school! WTF. I can't control whether or not they go to school. Is this another "feature" of EA?

Title: Re: Going to School Post by: eccentricgnat on 2008 September 14, 05:19:33 I know 2jeffs had a fix for that. You can check out his forums, I think it was fixed with no schoolbus and homework hack. But check his forums to make sure. I do remember reading about the problem on his boards, and he did have a fix.
I don't have Apartment life, so I didn't pay that much attention to which download fixed it. But I do think it is the the schoolbus-homework hack. Title: Re: Going to School Post by: shadow on 2008 September 14, 05:43:32 Thanks. I'll check that out. I just played another family in the same complex and immediately got the message about the child missing school and not doing well. I had not played this family yet and it was only 9:00 am on move-in Monday. Poor kid hasn't had a chance to go to school yet.
Title: Re: Going to School Post by: Inge on 2008 September 14, 10:08:06 Just get one of the various no-socialworker hacks. You are entitled to have children who are educationally substandard in your game.
Title: Re: Going to School Post by: shadow on 2008 September 14, 12:41:22 :D Thanks, Inge. I never thought of it that way.
Title: Re: Going to School Post by: simsfreq on 2008 September 14, 15:48:04 Is there a no-socialworker hack just for school grades then?
Actually, I might as well just get a universal one as I have my own orphanage in the neighbourhood now but it would be nice if the useless parents at least got the memories. The question still stands though as I'd be interested to know what versions there are. Title: Re: Going to School Post by: jsalemi on 2008 September 15, 02:24:17 FYI, the latest version of 'alfixes' (posted today) takes care of this issue -- I suggest downloading it.
Title: Re: Going to School Post by: shadow on 2008 September 15, 12:32:00 Will do, thanks
