Title: Why doesn't the Hire More Employees hack work in my game?! Post by: Pushnik on 2008 July 21, 15:40:19 Me again,
I tried everything PLUS the link that was given in response to my first question, but it still doesn't work in my game! I downloaded it to my Downloads folder, I extracted it, but it still doesn't work! IF it works for anyone else who also has all the EPs up to Freetime, please let me know what you did to make it work! Thank you. Pushnik ??? Title: Re: Why doesn't the Hire More Employees hack work in my game?! Post by: unregister on 2008 July 21, 16:48:06 Isn't that a hack from Insim? I think it goes back to 2006. I just checked and seen that is a Squinge's hack. Am I right or wrong on this?
Title: Re: Why doesn't the Hire More Employees hack work in my game?! Post by: jolrei on 2008 July 21, 16:59:42 I believe this is the case. Additionally, I think Emma has indicated that it is working in her game. Thus, I think the problem may very well be tight pants.
Title: Re: Why doesn't the Hire More Employees hack work in my game?! Post by: Pushnik on 2008 July 21, 17:03:12 Yeah, it is Squinge's hack, but it's not working in my game. Some people said it doesn't work for anything past Open for Business, but then other people say they have Freetime and it works for them! So I don't get it, I don't know what to do...
Title: Re: Why doesn't the Hire More Employees hack work in my game?! Post by: jsalemi on 2008 July 21, 17:05:34 Go to simwardrobe, and get the Hack Conflict Detection Utility. Run it to see if you have conflicting hacks in your game.
Title: Re: Why doesn't the Hire More Employees hack work in my game?! Post by: Pushnik on 2008 July 21, 17:53:31 The only other hacks I have downloaded is inTEENimator and Monique's computer hack, so I'll each one and see which one is causing the problem. I'll let you guys know how that goes. Thanks!

Title: Re: Why doesn't the Hire More Employees hack work in my game?! Post by: jsalemi on 2008 July 21, 19:04:23 Also, Monique's original computers have not been updated for FT, as she has vanished from the modding community -- if you're using the BV (or earlier) versions, they're known to cause a bunch of problems. You can find FT versions updated by other folks here in the Peasantry forum.

Title: Re: Why doesn't the Hire More Employees hack work in my game?! Post by: unregister on 2008 July 21, 20:03:03 Have you tried to remove the entire download folder and play to see if that works? I've known that just regular cc can cause a conflict. Been there myself having something not work due to custom content. If you have cc in Collections folder, the problem could be there. If you have another pc account that isn't ever used for gameplay, a clean type game, try playing that with the hack installed.
The Hack Conflict Detection Tool doesn't scan Collections folder, if I am remembering correctly. So if some hack/mod was in the Collection folder, I am not sure the tool would detect it. Title: Re: Why doesn't the Hire More Employees hack work in my game?! Post by: Emma on 2008 July 21, 22:11:58 I'll upload my version for you to try as I think it might be an updated version. You can just drop it straight into your downloads folder as it isn't zipped. It definitely works for me.
Title: Still Doesn't Work... Post by: Pushnik on 2008 July 22, 17:00:45 Alright, well I give up on this. I took out my entire Downloads AND Collections folders, I only left Squinge's hack, and it still doesn't work. It's no big deal, I'll just hire 8 employees and make the best. Thanks to everyone who helped!
Title: Re: Why doesn't the Hire More Employees hack work in my game?! Post by: jolrei on 2008 July 22, 17:56:40 Could it be that your game reads your computer specs as unable to handle more sims on a lot? Do you have lines like this in your userstartup.cheat file?
intProp maxNumOfVisitingSims 20 uintProp maxTotalSims 50 uintProp maxTotalHumans 35 uintProp maxTotalPets 15 These would override the games defaults, which may only allow a certain number of sims, thus limiting your employee possibilities. You can change the numbers to whatever seems appropriate. Remember, the more sims you allow, the more lag you may get, depending on your system specs. |
