Your computer went into overdrive.
I got this alot on my old computer with sims. I played for a long time, and it said that the application had crashed.
Is your computer low of memory?
Thats my idea on whats happining.
Do you have a load of CC.. cause sometimes that happens. And do you have windows XP or Vista?

Entirely possible.  How much RAM do you have.  Vista itself tends to use a lot of it just for itself - it's a memory pig.  Consider getting more RAM.  You can test this by playing a bit with reduced CC (take out a lot of CC objects that you rarely use (back up your hoods before you do this), or delete CC objects entirely and see if the problem persists or goes away.

I'm not sure, but I think your memory is maxed, it might be something else. It looks like you have 4GB of memory, which is the most I've seen for a laptop. Some of it is either being shared by your video card, or mostly that you're running a 32Bit version of Windows. Your laptop is simular to my new one, except better and I have no problems running the game.  :P

How are using it when you play the game? If you're using it on a soft surface, like bedding or a couch you really should have a laptop cooler to help allow it to get rid of that heat better. If you are on a flat surface then maybe your computer is just running really hot. At any rate, it would be helpful to google for and download a program called SpeedFan, which should let you see the temps the various parts are running at.

BTW, I have nearly 4GB worth of custom content in my game, and all expansions and stuff packs. My game runs at almost the highest settings, with only AA on the lowest setting. Here are my specs.

Dell Vostro 1500
Windows XP Pro SP3
2.2GHz Core2Duo
2.5GB 667MHz Ram
250GB 5700RPM HardDrive
256MB nVidia GeForce 8600 GT
It's basically like a fatter and slightly more ugly version of what you got. :P I don't run Windows Vista though, but when I did have it on here I didn't have any problems with The Sims 2 like what your having.

When the same thing happened to me it turned out to be a sim wearing a piece of CC that had gone bad.  Everytime she'd start to do a walkby, the game would crash.

Does it feel like it is getting hot when you play?  It may be worth putting it on blocks so that you get a really good airflow underneath to assist with cooling.

Some sort of laptop cooling system is recommended by the TS2-Laptop-Gamer cognoscenti, if I recall correctly, to avoid heat related crashes.

I get the odd bluescreen on the laptop. NVIDIA issue again. NV4_disp has gone into an infinite loop, it tells me.

I actually got a table fan yesterday and turned it on... pointing to my laptop... and I played for hours without any problems... so.. problem solved  ;D My game crashed because the stupid laptop was too hot...
I have to get a notebook stand... any recomendations on coolingpads/notebookstands?

Attatch the log!  Don't post it.
And don't say you don't know how; it's in the FAQ.

Don't post it, either. This is not an objecterror and tells us nothing of use.

The usual cause for crashing after extended play is overheating. Does your computer still do this if you put it in the fridge while playing?

Also, don't play the game/use the laptop on your lap, either. If it DOES overheat, then the body heat from your legs doesn't help matters.

??? Then go ahead and delete ! I thought that if anyone could help it was your site.  :-[ guess i was wrong. :(

Don't tantrum like a child.  Where has anyone said they can't help you?  They're explaining to you how to provide the necessary information as whatever you have posted is not helpful.

Mine crashed because it's really hot  here right now...and my laptop just overheated.... I bought a coolingpad/notebook pad with fans... that really helped.... maybe you should try the same
