Title: CS WaterFall Post by: arogers on 2008 May 25, 09:35:28 I have extracted the waterfall from castaway stories. Its been tested and seems to work fine.
UPDATE: now community enabled and have added trees and plants. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FM7ZSH1C to make the waterfall more detailed i suggest you get devilsrope's black rocks here http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,11872.msg336869.html#msg336869 Enjoy! Title: Re: CS WaterFall Post by: Cappuccino on 2008 May 25, 14:44:38 Thanks, I suppose you made it actually occupy only 2 tiles on purpose or was it like that in CS too? Anyway, that isn't really important I guess, but I'd suggest enabling it to be used in community lots too. ;)
Title: Re: CS WaterFall Post by: arogers on 2008 May 25, 16:32:51 im looking into making it community enabled. it supposed to be two tiles ingame. its acctually unbuyable in the game.
Title: Re: CS WaterFall Post by: witch on 2008 June 01, 04:33:03 Nice setting. Who's the dwarf in the foreground? Tatoo?
Heh. I went searching on google because I couldn't remember the dwarf's name. 'Dwarf on island' brought up a number of interesting links. See, don't believe everything you read on teh intarwebz.
Title: Re: CS WaterFall Post by: unregister on 2008 June 02, 17:40:15 Hi arogers, been hoping someone would make this available. I would love to download. Unfortunately, I have not been able to click on anything on the linked page to begin download. What do I need to do to start it? Thanks!
Title: Re: CS WaterFall Post by: seelindarun on 2008 June 02, 19:48:53 I just tried it and it worked for me. Use a different browser and try again?
Title: Re: CS WaterFall Post by: Kazzandra on 2008 June 02, 20:27:31 Hi arogers, been hoping someone would make this available. I would love to download. Unfortunately, I have not been able to click on anything on the linked page to begin download. What do I need to do to start it? Thanks! MEGAUPLOAD is pretty horrible. In the upper-right hand corner it says: Bitte hier (string of letters) eingeben. (Please type these letters here). Type in the letters in th box beside it and hit the download button. Then you must bitte warten (please wait) for a minute. Stare at the page for a minute, watching the count down timer. Be glad you don't know German and therefore cannot read their shilling. Free download will eventually pop up. Click that button and leave that horrible sight/site forthwith. Title: Re: CS WaterFall Post by: unregister on 2008 June 03, 02:49:09 Thank you so much, Kazzandra! At first when I began reading your post I thought you were joking! I mean typing "bitte hier..." just struck me funny. sorry my dirty mind. lol.
I tried accessing that page several times and I had no idea what to do, so you're help is much appreciated. Pretty complex steps for something usually simple. Thank you for taking the time to explain this to me. 6/11/08: Came back to check if made for the commercial lots, pleasantly surprised to find it. This waterfall is one of my favorite items in Castaways. Now I can use it in both of my games and in both types of lots. Thank you for sharing this arogers! Title: Re: CS WaterFall Post by: arogers on 2008 June 03, 14:54:51 glad you like it and sorry about megaupload.com they are pretty crap. :-\
Title: Re: CS WaterFall Post by: Lady Moiraine on 2008 June 03, 15:24:03 Your waterfall is beautiful! I even put it in the Castaways game and it works fine. You find it under Containers. Click on the link to see your waterfall in game. I put it on the Lost Tribe village on Wanmami Island just to see if it worked. The lots in Castaways are really what the waterfall works best on because you don't have to build the back for it although I also have your waterfall in my TS2 game, I did use the black rocks as you suggested. Thanks for your work on this!

I even put it in the Castaways game and it works fine. I thought the object was extracted from Castaway so it would be there already? ??? Or it wasn't buyable and only found on pre-made lots or something? Edit: Sorry, just saw what arogers said earlier about it being unbuyable in the original. Title: Re: CS WaterFall Post by: Lady Moiraine on 2008 June 03, 16:41:04 It's unbuyable in the Castaways game--it's not even in the build mode. It's only found on the Shady Lagoon lot. Same goes for the Holy Grail that JM updated for TS2. I use it in both games, CS and TS2. In the CS game, it's only found in the House of Tuzu. Now it's on several of my community lots in TS2.
Title: Re: CS WaterFall Post by: Cappuccino on 2008 June 04, 22:10:17 Just saw that you made the waterfall community-enabled, thanks for that! ;)
About the plants though, I'm pretty sure Havelock already did all of them (most of them for sure) and they're actually smaller files (I think he said they pull textures from some of the plants Pescado extracted). Title: Re: CS WaterFall Post by: arogers on 2008 June 06, 14:31:09 i was annoyed to find that the day after i extracted them the plants were on this site. not to sound big headed but i did upload them first.
Title: Re: CS WaterFall Post by: witch on 2008 June 06, 14:41:34 A big round of golf claps for arogers.
Title: Re: CS WaterFall Post by: Cappuccino on 2008 June 06, 15:15:33 i was annoyed to find that the day after i extracted them the plants were on this site. not to sound big headed but i did upload them first. You're right, I didn't mean to come off as critical of you, just saying they were there already. Checking the dates though, turns out you're right, you uploaded yours first, but I assume that because the topic title remained "CS Waterfall" that would be easy to miss. Which is actually what I did, I only discovered the updated waterfall and the plants a couple of days ago while randomly checking the thread. Anyway, I'm sure your work is appreciated either way. ;) Title: Re: CS WaterFall Post by: Havelock on 2008 June 06, 15:59:08 i was annoyed to find that the day after i extracted them the plants were on this site. not to sound big headed but i did upload them first. Sorry! I got asked for the Plants in the More CS stuff tread, no one told me you have made them. It would have been better if you had updated your tread Topic to display there is more then the Waterfall done. Thanks for the kind words, everyone. Hopefully I'll have time to get back to messing with this stuff soon (next couple weeks). Been a busy girl lately. I'll see about the plants, though sounds like Havelock might have something for us if he's willing to release them as non-interactive...maybe? I'll definitely get the light I missed (sorry about that, Lady Moiraine). Title: Re: CS WaterFall Post by: Kabuto on 2008 June 13, 16:12:11 I can't download from MegaUpload :( !
Title: Re: CS WaterFall Post by: pangolin on 2008 June 13, 20:18:08 Lovely waterfall but I can't download it !
