Title: I was dreaming about TS2... Post by: Syera on 2005 October 28, 17:29:11 I don't often dream about TS2. I did last night, however.
I was dreaming that I was in the TS2 game. (Everything looked realistic, however - not like the semi-cartoony look of TS2.) I must've made a Sim that looked like Matthew Broderick or something (who was wearing the outfit he wore in Inspector Gadget), because he was hanging about what I suppose was my house. We talked a bit, and I checked his age. Because he was a SIM Matthew Broderick, he was much more age-appropriate for myself than the real Matthew Broderick. ;D Well, then I checked my Relationships to see how many lighting bolts I had with him - two. Bear in mind that I was IN the game as myself - not playing the game - so I'm not exactly sure how this all worked. But it did. So, we socialized a bit... and that's pretty much it. ;D Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... Post by: Twain on 2005 October 28, 17:49:32 ::)

Post by: gali on 2005 October 28, 18:02:21 You remind me of a movie named "Tron": a user loses a game to the computer, and the computer swallows him and makes him a part of the softwares. Well, at the end he succeds to get out of it...:).
I was very impressed by the idea, which described an addicted game player, becoming a software...:). Do you have Tron symptoms? I think many of us have...:). Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... The ad kinda freaked me out, and I'm glad that as a computer-addicted six year old I never actually saw it! ;) Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... I've never even seen it in a video store, otherwise my curiosity would've gotten the better of me. What can I say, Australian video stores suck! :) Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... There was this whole weird thing where the board was actually a cocktail party. I wish we could do that for real. You have no idea how much fun it is. :) Hm, wearing his Inspector Gadget costume... you must have saved the game on his lot when he was at work. I wonder what career field he was in. :D Hook Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... Post by: Dark Trepie on 2005 October 28, 22:54:12 There have been times where I'd have to wake up early in the morning to go and do something, still be entirely too sleepy and tired to do so, and think to myself that a quick run through the Energizer will fix things...
At those ungodly hours, the bounderies between fantasy and reality are non-existant in my mind. :-\ Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... Post by: ElviraGoth on 2005 October 28, 23:36:25 Funny!
I had a TS2 dream the other night myself. I'm playing with genetics, and all my families have different color skins. I dreamed I had three blue guys show up - one tall and skinny, one short and fat, and one normal sized, all with blue hair sticking straight out, like that one cartoon character (can't think of his name) and little blue hats on their heads. Woke me up! Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... I got my son up for school one morning after thinking I had zapped his energy up with Merola's painting. It took me how long to figure out I didn't really do that? Too much time. Yeah, Brynne and those sims benders she goes on ;) I think it's more like a Johnny Mnemonic movie than Tron..... C Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... I like guys in classic styles. Mmm-hmm. The only way it could've been better was if he'd been wearing the Don Adams/French Stewart style Inspector Gadget coat. I mean, let's face it - the traditional trechcoat is pretty darn stylish. ;D Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... Post by: Ancient Sim on 2005 October 29, 17:19:53 I remember once my son (8 then, 9 now) was being really irritating and I found myself trying to check his status bar to see how tired he was.
Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... Post by: ZephyrZodiac on 2005 October 29, 17:27:22 Good thing he was only 8! At 9 he'd probably have rung for the paddywagon!

Yeah... fedoras are hyper-stylish, in my opinion. I have one similar to the one worn by Indiana Jones, and I wear it nearly everywhere. XD Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... Post by: ZephyrZodiac on 2005 October 29, 19:33:47 But only Marlene could look REALLY sexy in a beret!
Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... Post by: Brynne on 2005 October 29, 20:03:35 Okay, y'all, I just woke up from a nap. And a sims2 dream.
In real life, my husband and I just made an offer on a house in Atlanta, just to fix up and resell. I incorporated that into my dream, I think. My sims and I were all participating in a contest to see who could do the best job with fixing up a house for resell. Everyone partnered up, but I was alone. Boo hoo. I happened upon a great little house, and, with only the floorplan to look at, redesigned it into a house that would sell for about $40,000 more. Everyone else was still involved in actually finding good candidates to work on, and here I was with the plans all laid out. My sim, Bradley, was partnered with one of my real-life childhood friends. She was not able to even find a house to work on, so I pulled Bradley aside and told him that, not trying to cause trouble, here, but I have a house, I already did the plans, but I have no partner. Bradley thanked me and joined my team. Meanwhile, my childhood friend hurriedly constructed a house out of a Ritz cracker box. It was actually quite impressive, but I had to stop one of my little kid sims, Tiffany, from running up the cardboard stairs. Might get hurt when they collapse, you know. While the others worked, my house was done. All I had to do was knock out a few walls, and voila! Instant money-maker. Bradley and I then went out for a boat ride, which turned into a hot steamy affair,of course. Had to share that. I apologize. Back to the original topic, now. Oh, wait. "TS2 dreams" was the original topic. ;) Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... Post by: LK on 2005 October 29, 20:04:28 I don't often dream about TS2. I did last night, however. Now I'm embarrassed. Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... Post by: gali on 2005 October 29, 20:31:14 I don't often dream about TS2. I did last night, however. Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... Post by: Brynne on 2005 October 29, 21:20:41 Hmmm...did I just "invade"? Now I'm embarrassed. By the way, I was kidding. Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... Post by: baratron on 2005 October 30, 00:17:14 Personally, I don't find this topic strange in the slightest, because for years I've found myself dreaming about whatever game I've been playing at the time. It's not so bad when it's something like The Sims/TS2/Pokemon that actually has a storyline... but it's plain odd to close your eyes and have Tetris pieces falling from the sky, or Dance Dance Revolution step patterns. Plus, Dance Dance Revolution dreams are entirely too active. They make me wake up tangled in the sheets... ;)
I'm really looking forward to a new Playstation 2 game called Okami that I've seen previewed - you are a (female) wolf who runs around doing normal wolfy things, but she can also do calligraphy with her tail. Now that is the sort of thing I dream about normally :D. Be interesting to find out what it does to my dreams... Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... So what is the point of the game, other than being a wolverine with purdy hand writing? Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... Post by: ZephyrZodiac on 2005 October 30, 00:58:58 I can definitely relate to the Tetris thing!
Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... Post by: ElviraGoth on 2005 October 30, 03:47:37 Me too! (Tetris) I always have dreams about whatever I've been doing that my mind might have been trying to work something out on. It's like my sleep hours are when my brain goes into "solve" mode. When I'm programming, I dream about code. Crossword puzzles do it, too. And since I started playing TS2, I've has some weird ones. I switched from Civ3 to TS1 about a year ago, and I had some strange combinations of the two games in my dreams.
Glad I'm not the only one who dreams about games! Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... Aggh...me too..and I hate it b/c it's like damn you brain, now is not the time lol It's funny to run across this thread...the other night I had a sims like dream. In my dream I concluded that some things must be going wrong for me b/c I have "conflicting hacks" lol Isn't that just a the perfect metaphor for life sometimes. :D Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... Post by: bluecatvon on 2005 October 30, 08:51:53 haha! my dreams have sims elements in it too! I dreamt that my favorite sim came to my rescue..oh when i hugged him, it was so warm..my friends avoided me that day for fear i ate the wrong medicine, with that stupid grin on my face the whole while..
and what's more, i think bout sims every minute. even when i'm sitting on the sofa watching my family members walk by, with that kind of head movement you see in the game. and loads, loads more.. oh that fav sim i was talking bout, check out my avatar :P i love men with ponytails.. Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... Post by: Renatus on 2005 October 30, 09:06:17 I don't remember ever dreaming about TS2 (although I often fall asleep thinking about plans for my current batch of sims) - I think all of my sleeping mental cycles are taken up by language class stress, as I always seem to be dreaming about trying to remember how to say something in Finnish. I have however taken to saying things like "Hm, I seem to have spun up a want to have cereal!" before skipping off to pour myself some. :D

Then this will turn out to be a Public Woohoo...:). Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... ;D Title: Re: I was dreaming about TS2... Post by: ZephyrZodiac on 2005 November 03, 19:41:43 Well, it would certainly give men something to ponder on!
And Gali - of course I'm not offended!!!! ;D |
