Title: Energizer Borked (slightly) FT issue? Me Confused Post by: Mirelly on 2008 March 03, 14:41:50 This sim graduated pre-FT installation and was in the 'hood sim bin during FT installation. She is the only sim (so far) that this happens to so I am thinking FT-related issues. Only mods present are awesome ones plus TJ's updated age-duration and ACR hacks.
Her aspiration is plat, but energiser reward reddinates her ass anyway. It's actually kinda funny ... but it's also bloody annoying. Any clues as to where to look, or who to blame? Title: Re: Energizer Borked (slightly) FT issue? Me Confused Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2008 March 03, 16:13:12 This issue seems to be getting reported a lot, where random aspirational rewards are reported borked. Unfortunately, I can never reproduce this and all attempts to capture this in action are unsuccessful, as if something non-awesome were overriding even my capturestub. You can try your hand at this by downloading and installing the Errorstub (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/tmp/errorstub.package). This is not a real hack: What it does is that it forces all false returns of "Aspiration Reward - Success?" to Error. This will then produce an error log (and reset your sim). It should NOT BE POSSIBLE for an aspirational reward to fail without an error with the error stub installed. The last person who tried it couldn't get a log or error out of it. I am inclined to blame the non-Awesome.

Me Confused Post by: miramis on 2008 March 03, 16:26:05 Is it possible that the although the aspiration meter is showing Plat that it could actually be green or under? I've been reading about problems like this on the bbs, along with memories having reversed colours, so it made me think that perhaps some idiot reversed the aspirations too.
Title: Re: Energizer Borked (slightly) FT issue? Me Confused Post by: Mirelly on 2008 March 03, 18:39:26 Error log attached ... was it supposed to be an xls file? I had to reddinate poor Ellie twice to be sure the file was changed by the process of attempted assassination.
Hope this turns up an answer. Re the aspiration state. I tried this in various states of aspiration colour, both natural and forced. This is the only sim in this household who is affected. Title: Re: Energizer Borked (slightly) FT issue? Me Confused Post by: Jelenedra on 2008 March 03, 20:39:54 Bah. Ever since installing the stub, the screen flashes like it wants to make an error log, but no new log appears in the folder.

I was reading that filename as "errors tub" ... sort of like a spittoon for cock-ups ::) Title: Re: Energizer Borked (slightly) FT issue? Me Confused Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2008 March 04, 01:26:14 That is not an error log. That is just useless.

Title: Re: Energizer Borked (slightly) FT issue? Me Confused Post by: Jelenedra on 2008 March 07, 19:59:51 For those who are afraid of crammyboy's fix, I can report that using the orb and making them a temporary grilled cheese sim fixes the problem for stuck sims. I would rather use the fix to make sure that they don't get stuck in the first place.
I am installing that tonight when I get home. 8) Title: Re: Energizer Borked (slightly) FT issue? Me Confused Post by: crammyboy on 2008 March 07, 20:17:38 Grilled cheese won't prevent it from happening. Bypass will prevent you from seeing it.
Title: Re: Energizer Borked (slightly) FT issue? Me Confused Post by: Jelenedra on 2008 March 07, 20:28:51 That's what I meant about preferring the fix. I'd rather not discover my sims are borked and fix them. I'd rather prevent it altogether.
