Title: Lot load error, all lots Post by: kellinjar on 2008 February 24, 22:02:15 This occurs on all lots. This is a fresh install, all EPs and all SPs. Windows XP SP2. No custom content. the only additional content is Maxis made objects.
If I don't run boolprop testingcheatsenabled true, the loading just hangs. I delete this each time I enter a lot, but it comes up each time. There is more from the log, but I exceeded 20,000 characters. Code: Build: 1.10.0.130 Title: Re: Lot load error, all lots Post by: danicast on 2008 February 25, 03:41:15 Perhaps incompatible customized careers?
Looks like. Title: Re: Lot load error, all lots Post by: KatEnigma on 2008 February 25, 04:52:42 He's not running with any custom careers. He's anal about only downloading Eaxis stuff.

Perhaps I wasn't clear enough with Quote This is a fresh install, all EPs and all SPs. Windows XP SP2. No custom content. the only additional content is Maxis made objects. I entered a lot first, guy got a science job played it for a while, exited the game, came back to find this. I still recall the tottaly borked cars that caused crashes.Quote I entered a lot first, guy got a science job played it for a while, exited the game, came back to find this. I think is another case of trash code with clothes. Job clothes in this case. Try the old formula change-the-sim-clothes-change-it-back.Title: Re: Lot load error, all lots Post by: kellinjar on 2008 February 25, 06:10:33 Quote I entered a lot first, guy got a science job played it for a while, exited the game, came back to find this. I have a science career, the error is clearly about the athletic career path and it happens on all lots.. even pre-made lots that I'd never been to before. Perhaps something got borked and thinks your sim is in the athletic career, thus erroring when they change into science clothes? Title: Re: Lot load error, all lots Post by: KatEnigma on 2008 February 25, 18:32:58 I've been thinking. When you uninstalled NL because of the wonky downtown screen, you didn't check your registry to make sure it had really uninstalled before you reinstalled. Maybe you only thought it was okay. ;) Now why it would be throwing that error, I dunno, but you are having some other weird things happen- like when the baby couldn't be interacted with and then fixed itself.

Wink Now why it would be throwing that error, I dunno, but you are having some other weird things happen- like when the baby couldn't be interacted with and then fixed itself. The sims have always provided wonderful little random errors. its unlikely a registry entry could have messed this up (it just points to where the game is located and stores the cdkey and things like that) but if a file was corrupted and not deleted on uninstall or overwritten properly on reinstall that might have something to do with it. But that doesn't explain why that would only show itself after I played a lot for a few hours and then suddenly effect all lots.Title: Re: Lot load error, all lots Post by: Jelenedra on 2008 February 26, 16:22:07 Do you not have notepad? You can just attach the error log as a notepad file, so the Awesome Ones can read the entire error log.

You can just attach the error log as a notepad file, so the Awesome Ones can read the entire error log. Here is the full error. scratch that. First load under free time was fine, second load I got the error again.
