Title: CS Neighborhood Plopables converted for TS2 Post by: Havelock on 2008 February 21, 21:26:36 There are 25 Items in the following posts. The Trees and Hedges,Huts and the crashed Ship.
The Trees and Hedges need the CS_Jungle_01.package and CS_treePalmneighborhood.package file because they get the textures from them. Same for the Huts they get textures from CS_Plopablehutslarge.package. Dont miss the other files because they hold the Textures needed for them to work. CS_treejunglecanopyneighborhood.package has it own textures nothing needet to work. CS_crashedShip.package uses the lighter Stonetexture not the Lavatexture because EAxis replaced the nh-test-cliff Texture in Castaways with the Lava and she is used for all Stones. Title: Re: CS Neighborhood Plopables converted for TS2 Post by: GayJohnScarritt on 2008 February 21, 21:46:21 You're really making it hard for me to keep my pledge by NOT installing my arrr'ed version of BV, aint'cha. ;)
I was really hoping to wait until a viable/Pescado'd arr'ed version of Free Time was available Title: Re: CS Neighborhood Plopables converted for TS2 Post by: Zazazu on 2008 February 21, 22:01:41 ? Pescado doesn't ARRR FreeTime. Just the Stories crap-bits.
Title: Re: CS Neighborhood Plopables converted for TS2 Post by: GayJohnScarritt on 2008 February 21, 23:28:51 ? Pescado doesn't ARRR FreeTime. Just the Stories crap-bits. OMG, never in a gazillion years would i ever accuse Pescado of doing something as low as Arr'ing a regular EP of the sims. (Someone gives him it). I phailed miserably in putting into words what i meant. "I" WILL arr Free Time, ONCE a viable version comes out, i will wait until Pescado fixes the bugs in Free Time to install it (at the same time i will install BV). Havelock is doing fine work in converting most of the things i find enjoyable in Castaways. Title: Re: CS Neighborhood Plopables converted for TS2 Post by: witch on 2008 February 22, 05:49:17 Havelock, thank you so much. I'm so looking forward to building Island type hide-aways.
I don't suppose you could do things like the windows/doors and support poles too, mate? :-* Title: Re: CS Neighborhood Plopables converted for TS2 Post by: Havelock on 2008 February 22, 07:19:35 Havelock, thank you so much. Maxis has used the supports we alredy have and has rewritten the behaviors so we get more supports when we build. I have cloned it and got only native textures on my existing supports. So i ripped only the Texture und put it in my Game as a default replacement. That i could share with you. Title: Re: CS Neighborhood Plopables converted for TS2 Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2008 February 22, 08:25:30 And finaly crashed Ship. Isn't the crashed ship the same as the one in BV?Title: Re: CS Neighborhood Plopables converted for TS2 Post by: witch on 2008 February 22, 11:09:08 Title: Re: CS Neighborhood Plopables converted for TS2 Post by: Havelock on 2008 February 22, 11:11:37 And finaly crashed Ship. Isn't the crashed ship the same as the one in BV?No BV has the crashed Pirateship and CS has a modern Shipwreck. I used the trees and such last night to help mask what was supposed to be a tunnel through the mountains before I forgot that those don't translate from SC4. Very different, and I like that some of the single trees are so huge. Makes for good variety. I did alter the files, though. I hacked them ala SaraMK to go anywhere. Title: Re: CS Neighborhood Plopables converted for TS2 Post by: stormygsa on 2008 February 24, 01:02:52 Hey Everyone!
Got any ideas on how I can hide the stupid-ass cars in the neighborhood view? It ruins the whole "deserted island" feel I'm trying to get. Also...thanks to everyone who's uploaded CS converted stuff. You're all pretty awesome! g ;) Title: Re: CS Neighborhood Plopables converted for TS2 Post by: GayJohnScarritt on 2008 February 24, 01:56:44 A simple search on MATY would have given you the answer. This question was asked previously http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,9622.msg262998.html#msg262998
From NotVeryAwesome ------------- The cheat for cars is boolProp carsCompact [true/false] -- false hides the cars. Edit: Oops, that'll teach me not to read that entire thread, further down it states that the carsCompact doesn't really hide the cars, you have to use boolProp carsEnabled false Even then, that person says it doesn't work for BV. :: shrugs :: give it a try tho. I also didn't know you could hide the roads, once I've got some hood deco in, it's going to look quite an authentic island style.
