Title: The Buildings of SimCity 4: Municipals Post by: Zazazu on 2008 February 21, 02:10:16 Requires all EP up to and including BV. No stuff packs required.
(http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee18/ZazazuAbubu/SC4municipal.jpg) One good thing about temporarily borking my game is that I started playing SimCity4 again and remembered that initially I'd wanted to translate the lots from that game into Sims2. I've been working on rebuilding all the lots that are less than 10-stories or so in the main game, and finally finished one complete set: the municipal buildings. Click the individual links to download. A couple of them require meshes which, for some reason, didn't get included with the package. Links for those meshes are in the descriptions below. These lots are meant to be decorative. They are facades only. All are zoned residential so they don't clog your taxi & walk-to menus. A couple (namedly the hospital and city college) are huge and will crawl like a drunken snail. The medical clinic, elementary school, and the police station, though, could definitely be played. I have wanted some of the lots for a very long time as Sims lots. Any time I try to make them, they always get "embellished" upon. I guess I can't leave well enough alone.

Just cleaned and packaged the other remaining lots last night. I believe there are 17 more. Most of them are duplexes, but there are a couple of big schmancy houses and a couple of trailer-like homes (I'm playing one now; it's delightfully cramped), plus one that could almost be a farm home. Two should be deco only (huge R$$$ apartment buildings). One is kind of iffy. My machine would handle it, but most computers would gag a bit. I should have them up by the weekend.
