More Awesome Than You!

I don't generally find the graphic glitches in the game that funny anymore..but when I entered a house and discovered this one I was felt inclined to giggle like a little school girl.

This was part of my fiasco last night with people in houses not age transitioning right.

Poor girl..she had the body of a baby..head of a toddler...and height of a child

Just sooo wrong..lol

I wish there was a bit more variety like that in the game when it's going right.  That child didn't look impossible in real life.

Ewww, she looks like someone we would send sponsorship money for so she could be fed and her village could have running water.  Very creepy.  Did she eventually right herself?

I had that happen once. It's even weirder when it happens from toddler to adult. ;)

I wonder what triggers this? Seems to entertaining to want to fix it, but it would be interesting to find out.

In my case it was an bug with a very old version of SimPE (which has long since been fixed). At the time, if you extracted a sim via sim surgery it would then reference the extracted package in the savedsims directory and all changes (growing up etc) would be made to that file. In his case I extracted him as a toddler (he was adopted) to see what he would look like when he grew up. I late deleted that package file template in saved sims when he was an adult and the game only had the original character file for him in the neighborhood to fall back on, which apparently hadn't been updated since he was a toddler. So he had the body of a toddler but the game knew he was an adult and stretched him out to those proportions. It was a very odd fluke, nothing anyone will ever run into anymore since it's been fixed. I cheated him to grow up to a proper adult btw and he was fine after that but I took lots of pictures lol.

Ive had the reverse thing happen in my game. Sometimes sims that had moved house would still show up on their original lot after a new famliy had moved in. But if id played the first family in the meantime and aged any of the children sims they would appear on their old lot as grotesque midgets. One of the weirdest was an adult male sim that was trapped in a childs body. He also appeared to have lopsided legs. I really wanted to keep him like that (for a bit of variety) but playing him on his current lot sorted him out. I did have some pretty funny pictures but since the death of my old hard drive theyve been lost.

Yes that is definitely stranger than the toddler to child.

What happened in my game was that my sims bodies were staying the same although they were transitioning into new age groups. Some would even end up disappearing.  I was so tired one night while trying to fix it that I went clicking some wrong things in SimPe that ended up creating this issue (like cars SimPe should not be operated while sleepy or under the influence of any substances ;)  )

I have since gotten the problem completely solved...it took a mix of the insiminator and Simpe but Maemi is now normal again and now is a teen..a rather pretty one at that..thank goodness lol

I saw a story on the Swedish website where someone had made an elder couple and "aged" the wife to a toddler.
VERY disturbing looking, like she was far gone in Alzheimers or something. :o

And what could possibly induce you to leave your bunker and tank? Can't imagine that one could ship a tank overseas, short of a C-130. But then, that seems like it would be your kind of plane. The C-130 is the PLANE FROM HELL. Taking an eight hour trip in one, sitting on those "bleacher with netting for back" seats and trying to sleep with the full noise of the plane on, as there's no noise insulation . . . gah.

now we know why  his copy of nightlife is taking forever to reach him ;D
