Title: BV problem: Can't check in Post by: Devilfish on 2008 January 09, 00:43:29 When my sim arrives at the hotel she can pick a room fine (but for some reason, sometimes it says Key.../Take key from Bittany) but can't actually walk up to the counter and check in (the bellboy dude can't be selected). When she leaves she simply doesn't pay the bill.
I took out my entire downloads folder to make sure it wasn't a hack, but the problem persists. Any help would be lovely... Title: Re: BV problem: Can't check in Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2008 January 09, 02:30:57 Never seen this and have no idea how this could happen.
Title: Re: BV problem: Can't check in Post by: nocomment on 2008 January 09, 03:39:28 "Key / Take key" sounds like you may have an old door locking hack. Some of these let you assign "keys" to different sims. I believe all such hacks are outdated, and could be causing a problem.
Do you remember having one of these hacks? Title: Re: BV problem: Can't check in Post by: Nec on 2008 January 09, 05:54:58 Perhaps Tunasiafish's smart doors?
Title: Re: BV problem: Can't check in Post by: Gamblor on 2008 January 09, 08:23:43 yes it is an old hack for locking doors with keys. I had the same problem too just remove them all from your downloads.
Title: Re: BV problem: Can't check in Post by: Devilfish on 2008 January 09, 12:03:02 I did have a door hack at some point, they should be gone by now though. All hacks/hacked objects have been removed from my game. Problem persists.
I also noticed I can no longer call a taxi while on vacation. EDIT: This problem seems to be limited to a single family. Don't know if it's got anything to do with it, but it's a sim I made in CAS and exported with SimPE. If I create a sim in CAS and take him on a vacation the game behaves) Title: Re: BV problem: Can't check in Post by: jolrei on 2008 January 09, 14:52:23 EDIT: This problem seems to be limited to a single family. If I create a sim in CAS and take him on a vacation the game behaves) If you clone a sim in SimPE and export it back into the game, you should re-clone the newly exported Sim in Bodyshop to ensure residual crap is removed. Straight SimPE clones do not always behave well in game. |
