More Awesome Than You!

This is a fridge cloned from the cheap base game fridge with autonomy disabled for all functions save getting baby bottles. As this is my first hack type thing, it is very primitive and won't take recolors, etc. I take no responsibility for blowing up your game. Sims can still serve meals with it if you tell them to. So far it seems to work with Pescado's baby hacks, although if you have the "leave baby alone" hack it is only useful as a no-autonomy fridge.


Ultimately I would like to do a mini-fridge like this, and have this one pull the recolors from the other fridge. But that requires additional learnings (also time and interest to do so), and therefore it may or may not happen at some unspecified future time.

Awesome idea. Personally, I'm looking forward to the day I can use a mini fridge in the baby contanment rooms. Till then this is good.

Yay! I'll be happy to try this out. No more schlepping up and down the stairs for my sims that have two-story houses with the nursery on the second floor! Or stupid sims storing leftovers in the second story 'fridge that is just suppose to be there for babies.

However, until then I'll bleat like a good sheeple should and propose thirty toasts to Ella (who will eventually be running Sam & Ella's Diner in my game) so we all questomp about there not being enough bathrooms.

I don't think 30 toasts will result in complaints about the lack of bathrooms. 30 toasts would result in everyone pissing themselves in unison.

Here's the mini-fridge modified so that all you can do is get a bottle. It's a modification of Targa's fridge, but has a new GUID so you can use both. The only colors available are the ones that came with the game (it will not pick up custom recolors).

It was working fine with all EP combinations up to Seasons. I haven't tested it with BV yet, but I don't expect that there would be problems.

Requires Uni EP, of course.

It shares custom recolors with Maxis mini fridge. I also fixed the routing bug, which made it impossible to put something on the Supafridge. Now it can double as counter just like Maxis mini fridge. You don't need an extra counter for Smart Milk.
It's not Nursery-Only, so you have to change pie menu and/or GUID yourself.

Do they "stuff face" if they have hunger desperation?

This would be incredibly useful for my apocalypse 'hood (I'm doing a super hard version) and all my sims do all day is moan that they can't reach the fridge. A completely no-autonomy-except-for-baby-bottle fridge would be fantastic.

I think I disabled the stuff face option on my mini-fridge, so if that question was aimed at me, then no, they won't stuff face out of desperation.

Darcy and Jelenedra: I'm confused, is the autonomy for those actions disabled, or just the pie menu options? And can I modify/play with them here?

 ;) This was actually one of my first hack-attempts, but with one of 4ESF's fridges that required you had a counter under it. But I could only do the pie-menu, not the autonomy.

I didn't disable anything in the updated Supafridge, as it was intended to act like a full-featured fridge. If you want to make a nursery-only separate clone version of Supafridge with its own GUID (like SaraMK did), go ahead. Targa allows modification of his/her creations as long as they stay on the free sites.

I think this is simply fantastic, thank you for the mini fridge that will look great in the nursary.

Okay, here's a modified version of Targa's/ Lord Darcy's fridge with autonomy disabled for everything but getting bottles. So far it's working fine in my game, but should still be considered in-testing (It should have a unique GUID, but I want to double check for conflicts with Targa's fridge, for example). The pie menus are unchanged, so you can still use all the other functions (those of a regular fridge) if you want.

So they won't trek halfway across the house to put leftovers into the nursery fridge? lol

Be aware that Ellatrue's version is based on Seasons version, so Sims with cuisine hobby will not be able to Serve Platter from Fresh Food. You'll have to update it to FT yourself.

I think it still needs the GUID's fixed. I tried making it different, but it still over-wrote Targa's fridge, so I'm not sure what I did wrong with that. Then I got distracted by other stuff. I also wasn't able to stop them putting leftovers in the fridge, since the action is triggered on the sim, and not the object. But they won't try to cook meals from it.

Try the ones I and Lord Darcy posted. Two unique Targas fridges. Just change the first line in BCON back to 200 (I think, that's the mini's capacity) to make them not empty.

They work pretty well, especially autonomous cooking meals. I don't think they put away leftovers on their own, unless you have dizzy's auto-store-food and have-a-leftover, which I favor.

Lord Darcy's wasn't unique, though, and over-wrote Targa's. I based mine off of that one.

Lord Darcy's updated Targa's for FT is not unique. But the stank-alone ones I made and he updated  (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,11972.0.html) are unique, because I gave them new GUID.

Sorry to raise the dead here...ok...I'm not sorry, but feel obligated to apologize.  I have EP's up to FT, and have long desired a bottle-only mini-fridge for nurseries on 2nd floors.  That is all it needs to do...serve bottles, preferably autonomous-inspired (as in, nanny will procure bottles from the mini-fridge as opposed to walking the 5 miles down to the one in the "proper" kitchen).  But even that feature is no big deal.  Question is, which fridge do I need here?  I R confuzzled with many options.
