Title: 'One or more expansion packs are installed' Post by: Lyra on 2007 December 14, 22:28:07 To cut a long story short, I ran out of hard drive space on one drive so started uninstalling to install on another.
But it won't let me uninstall The Sims 2. I get the message 'One or more expansion packs are installed. You must uninstall all expansion packs before uninstalling The Sims 2'. All the expansions/stuff packs are uninstalled. The registry has been cleared of all traces of expansions and stuff packs. Why the hell can't I uninstall it? Although what purpose deinstalling the game has is beyond me. What were you planning to replace it with? Title: Re: 'One or more expansion packs are installed' Post by: Lyra on 2007 December 15, 13:29:57 I was planning to reinstall it on another hard drive.
EDIT:Unix Command? Title: Re: 'One or more expansion packs are installed' Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2007 December 15, 13:35:59 Oh, yes, I forget, your wimpy normal-people computers probably don't accept unix commands. I have no idea what the DOS equivalent is.

XP still has it, but you need to use rmdir in Vista.Title: Re: 'One or more expansion packs are installed' Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2007 December 15, 14:48:12 Doesn't that only work on empty directories?
