Title: NPC question Post by: KellyQ on 2005 October 19, 14:56:43 Would moving a nanny in cause weirdness and/or possibly a BFBVFS? Out of curiosity I aged one of the nannies (Kendal Lawson to be exact) into an adult last night while I was playing on Don Lothario's lot (he has an adopted daughter in my game), made her selectable using the InSim and directed her to talk to Don; they really hit it off. I considered having her move in as a love interest for Don but was too paranoid to actually save the game before asking people More Awesome Than I, if this is a bad idea. I have moved in other NPCs before playing the Legacy Challenge but never a nanny and I didn't know if there was some kind of weirdness associated with her like Mrs. Crumplebottom.

I read a few seems to have problem when they use the "agesimscheat" on NPC or townie they don't have control on, but I could be wrong. Sound like the safest way to do it is to move her in first then make her young again so she won't be a nanny anymore but a normal Sim.
Title: Re: NPC question Post by: Motoki on 2005 October 19, 15:28:26 I've move them in with no problems. I think you should be fine. You shouldn't even have to age her back to elder. I say go for it.

Title: Re: NPC question Post by: RainbowTigress on 2005 October 19, 17:46:02 Does moving them in really make them normal and not act weird like nannies anymore?
Title: Re: NPC question Post by: MissDoh on 2005 October 19, 17:51:10 Personally I moved 2 of them in the past and did not notice any weird behavior, but I did not play with those family a lot. Sorry to say I resetted my game since then so I cannot check.
Title: Re: NPC question Post by: Motoki on 2005 October 19, 17:59:09 They seem to act fairly normal when moved in yes. They still retain the nanny code but it doesn't seem like they use it, although they can still always dress like a nanny. ;)
