Title: Is there any way to change pet age? Post by: Emma on 2007 November 03, 09:46:11 My sim wanted a pet dog or cat, so I bought him a cat from the pet shop. He is one of the Far East vacation locals that my sim fell in love with, so I bought him a Panda Kitty I'd made. Thing is, I didn't check what age it was and it turns out he bought an Elder cat. I really wanted him to have an adult one. Is there any way to change the age of the cat?

For people who want to choose when sims or pets have birthdays or die of old age, there is my cake and patch. Not useful in this case though. Title: Re: Is there any way to change pet age? Plus it may cause your pet to be decapitated. You could try the classic SimPE method of setting its age to kitten and then growing it up, though. There is, however, no easily distinguishable difference between an elder and an adult pet, so if you didn't notice it when you bought it, you wouldn't notice it now. The actual pet itself can be age-extended indefinitely, unless you wanted a female and intended to breed it. Title: Re: Is there any way to change pet age? I wanted to breed it really. I might try to change it using SimPe. So I have to change it to a kitten then grow it up in-game? Title: Re: Is there any way to change pet age? Post by: Emma on 2007 November 03, 11:28:42 Okay, I have decided to change it into a kitten using SimPe then grow it up in-game. Thing is, I don't know how to do this. Can anyone point me in the right direction or tell me what I have to change?

Title: Re: Is there any way to change pet age? Post by: Emma on 2007 November 04, 13:50:21 Worked great-while my pet was a kitten she was swimming through the floor though! Once she aged up to adult all was fine. Thanks again Gwill and Pes.
