Title: D'oh. I am such a moron, can anybody help me fix this?
Post by: Andygal on 2005 October 16, 04:31:27
Ok so me being STUPID I fell asleep and left my sims game running. Long story short both sims died and then I was an IDIOT and sav ed over it. So what do I need to do in SimPE to put them back as if it never happened or as best as I can. One of them was pregnant.

Edit: ialready deleted their "I am dead" tokens, unchecked the "is ghost" box and deleted all memories that occured after I was last paying attention as best as I could tell lol. Just because I want to pretend this never happened.

Now you need some friend of them, with high relations (make it with the SimPe), and the Inge's teleporter, or the O-Nomitron from Two-Jeffs collection. He can resurrect them, or just teleport them to him, and move them in his house. After that, find them an own place, and move them to their old house.

And in future, always check before you save!!!!!!

well I got them moved into a neighbours house but when I moved in them in to their own house the lady didn't appear, so I summoned her with the shrub but she is still not selectable and then she went off to work.

(she gave birth to her baby at the neighbours house)

So what do I do NOW?

If she gave a birth in the neighbourhood house - the baby will remain there, unless when you moved them out, you checked the baby too. He will "walk", lol, and you will find him near the mail box.
I would restore the previous saved game, and do all the process again. If the female is not selectable, it means that somebody remembers her die (the friend), and you have to delete the tokens that she died from all friends too.

...quite a mess...:).

And if you can't get them to all leave the other house, move the whole family in there and move the original family to their house!

I got them to leave the other house brought everybody with them, but the game seems confused about the woman. She is in the household but I can't select her. Very very annoying.

Can you select her with the Mind control Mirror?

What I thought was, if you could select her with the mirror, you could get her to find own place.  Then (if you have Uni) you should be able to just move her back in with her family.  If not, you'll have to put her in a cheap house and then get her invited over and moved in the oldfashioned way!  But i think once she's moved in normally, she should be properly selectable.

The moral, of course, being, always back-up your game - but I for one tend to forget!
