In Strangetown, Vidcund Curious has a "Meet Aliens" want that was fulfilled when he was abducted while stargazing using the telescope. He still has the "Meet Aliens" want, though, and it keeps coming back no matter how many times I reroll his wants. Is this normal? I would have thought that "Meet Aliens" would be like "Have First Kiss" and such in that it would not come back once it has been fulfilled.

Acting as normal.  Knowledge sims neet aliens once, and they pretty much never stop rolling wants to meet them again, or have a family member meet aliens.

They also have a big want to meet aliens 5 (or is it 8?) times too.

Oddly, there's more than one alien out there...although it's always the same one who gets to use the probe.

Heh.  I guess Knowledge sims are like Romance sims, only they're hot for aliens instead of their neighbors.

I'm just surprised Maxis didn't make meeting 20 Aliens one of the LTWs for Knowledge sims!

You'd think inviting Pollination Tech #9 Smith over for a visit would count, but I guess the other Sims don't realize he's not from around here.

Alien children don't count either - they have to go in the spaceship for it to count!  Now, how about this for an idea?  In SimPE, go to Vidcund's description, and click on "treat as female", then get the cheap abduction telescope from MTS2  (CtfG-Abducter100) and let him get abducted every night!  Since the game will now treat him as female, you won't have the problem of him getting pregnant.

I've noticed that the other Knowledge Sims who are unrelated will start rolling wants for the first guy to meet the aliens.  Which seems a little callous, considering the poor guy always comes back with a bun in the oven.

Not only that, but any teenagers who've been abducted in order to fill a want to gain the award (mainly popularity and fortune) will inspire that want on their behalf - and they never, ever want to repeat the experience.....
