Sims don't retrieve Simoleons from Tip Jar
« on: 2007 August 30, 19:38:52 »
THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I don't have any mods/hacks that have anything to do with tipping, like the no buskers, or tipfix.   Every time my sims play for tips, when I cancel the action of playing, they drop the instrument and leave the tip jar untouched!  Huh

Any suggestions would be appreciated of course!  Smiley

Does the same thing happen if you leave them to play autonomously, and the game cancels the action when the poolcar arrives, or they have to go to class etc.?

There never has been a situation where the car pool comes or they have to go to class when I am cancelling the action.  I am usually just satisfying a want or bringing up their fun.

I do have "no autonomous  instruments", however, I have been using that mod for a long time now.  Also it did work after I installed Seasons and the last update from the Official Site.  I have always had to wait while they went through the tedius task of picking up the jar and shaking it or getting tips, but now they don't even go near it, just turn around and either do something else on their own or do the next thing in the queue. Huh

Other sims can and do put in tips, they watch and clap, so all of that is the norm.  I also deleted the instrument several times, a put in a new one, but still the same results.

Why not take that hack out and use Pescado's nobuskers instead?  Then, when they do play autonomously, they practice, and don't perform.  They only perform if you tell them to, except at parties when visitors can perform for tips and your sims of course get the lolly!

You're welcome!  The only place where they'll still busk, I think, apart from a comm lot is in a dorm.

And if you hate the endless tinkering with the tip jar, grab this, or this if you use Pes' tippingfix.
