none of my service npc's can come to one particular lot anymore.
any idea why?
for what it's worth, it seemed to have started when a social worker tried to come but for some reason couldn't. the child stayed around but was unselectable.
after that, no one could come anymore.
annnd i was messing with the lot debugger when it happened to clear the offworld visitors so the invisible social worker would go away and i could get build and buy mode reinabled. so maybe that had something to do with it?

The lot debugger is obviously more awesome than you...  Burninate the lot and see if that cures it. |

i moved the family out, and moved another one in, and still no one comes.
no kind of portal fixes other than trashing the lot?

Well, my rule of thumb is: if JM does not have it, try twoJeffs at variousimmers and Inge at simlogical. If nothing is there to be found either, try MTS2 (the good site with the downloads). If they have nothing, then well... Sorry oyyo, I wish I could help you more. G. |

I had a problem with the pedestrian portal in uni - my sims couldn't leave to go to class. It was because another sim was also trying to leave and there was one of the darned cars sitting right over the pertal and once I moved it, they were all able to go on their merry way! Obviously, in the road you'd see if it was one of these cars, but it could be a stuck kicky bag, and if you haven't tried that option, it would be worth doing it. If that option doesn't appear, then it could be the last car leaving never really left, and I don't quite know how you deal with that.

maybe it is stuck social worker mobile.

Could be....but I'd try running the lotdebugger option to get rid of off world visitors and letting the game play for a while, then save and exit. I've just found this finally worked for a problem I'd been having with nannies, but only after I'd let it run for a while.
