THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Have you ever tried to invite an NPC (like a bartender) to your home ?
.. they will come, and pass the main door without ring the bell..
they act just like as it's they'r own home..  i hate it  Angry

any hack / fix to correct this situation ?

I think this is more a personality feature, and it's not so bad if you invited them in the first place, it saves on the silly greeting dance. What's more annoying is when they just decide to show up uninvited, and thus they are useless and disrupting your house.

Not just NPCs do that. I have some YAs and townies that show up in my houses without keys.

It's because of the outgoing personality. If a sim has 9 or 10 outgoing points, will never ring the bell, but will always enter other's homes directly. (in technical terms, they will have the "greeted" bit setted as soon as they fade in in the lot).

You could always ban that sim from your lot with the Visitor Controller. I don't mind them turning up, I put them to work cleaning, cooking and gardening Cheesy That'll teach 'em to come waltzing into my house uninvited!

Heh. I'm pondering finishing that "GO AWAY" doormat which will de-greet those pesky stalkers.

Emma: I don't like the visitor controller. I can't figure out how to unblock everyone by default (I shouldn't have to edit the settings to get the normal behaviour), and it conflicts with the pregnant teen mesh.
I'm using APO to ban them.

Marhis: seriously? Then it is a simple matter of SimPE fixing.

I agree with that. Maybe TJ's will change it if we bug him Cheesy

Yup Smiley.
You can lower their outgoing points to 8, and they will stop (I'm not completely sure if it's 8 or 7, but just try). And that doormat would be really awesome!

Amin Sims showed up as a walkby once on one of my lots.  He walked right in the door and made himself at home, playing a video game with one of the kids.  Amin has high outgoing.

While this isn't the sort of behavior you'd want in real life, for Sims it makes a bit of sense.  If you're playing feral Sims, completely hands off, it's nice when something like this happens and they can make a new household friend.

I'll add my 2cents to the 'wanting default behavior auto with the VC'. I love the mod, but I want it to start normal and then I change it the way I want it. Starting different confuses me and I forget.
