a) What's actually wrong with that house? The roof is kinda ugly, but the floorplan isn't all that unworkable... is it? (I'm peering at the tiny screenshots and trying to see the flaw.) b) How on earth was it submitted on Thursday, 11 October 2007?  Please see here for details. Because Mirelly is a cheater.  Doh! Now I feel stupid... I even read the whole thread before posting, just didn't notice it was the same house. |

I don't think that will be taken into consideration, no. It's only ones who have made their houses with Seasons exp installed that will be pointed and laughed at if they make them un-weather worthy.
Aww, so we can't make fun of people without Seasons who still are making roofs that aren't watertight? I downloaded the "Dream" House and several others from Parsimonious. I was young and stupid, and thanks to the spectacular lack of houses that only required TS2, I was forced to deal with those . . . "houses". It's a horror story. the family I put on the lot, I couldn't locate for a couple of minutes. Those spike make it impossible to find an angle to play because no matter how low the walls are, the terrain remains the same! I finally got frustrated and flattened the whole lot. Bad. Bad. Bad. I just deleteded the whole lot, and my family. I build my own stuff now. |

They might work well as a theme neighborhood -- image an entire neighborhood exclusively built in that style. Weird, but in a deliberately cute and colorful way. It's hard to see it as a serious house for normal sims.

Ooooh, you know what would actually be kind of cool? A Monopoly neighborhood. You could even build real houses, they'd just have an enormous front yard. I doubt you could really share it because of copyright issues (although, if shared freely as it should be, it would be free advertising). And really, all one would need custom would be some floor tiles with letters on them...which would be useful on commercial lots anyways....Hmmm... |

I knew I'd seen something similar before, thanks. I'd seen the terrain. It's not exactly what I was thinking, but yeah...similar. I was thinking that the home lots would contain the square's info stuffs as well...not just the home/homes. Some squares would have one small home, some two/three homes, some a hotel and a home, etc. I don't think I'd dedicate a whole 'hood to a board, though. I already have one theme community lot based off of Chutes'n'Ladders, so one of these days I'll do a whole board game themed neighborhood. After I finish my Alpha challenge. At ten generations in, it's a shock I haven't ditched and moved on yet.

Oooh, I want to see! I can has screenshot? Apparently, it was thrown into a vast expanse of nothingness when I had to uninstall and reinstall Seasons recently. I didn't think to back up my saved lots because I thought I had plopped down everything I liked and could just save them again from my backed up neighborhoods. Not so much. The Chutes'n'Ladders lot and this castle restaurant with a maze garden are gone. Grr. The castle I don't care so much about, but I'll have to rebuild Chutes'n'Ladders. |
