default pajamas furbed

my default male adults and female adult pj's are furbed or furballed or whatever you call it.   All of his default pj's are blue and hers are purple.    I removed the last two hacks that I put in and I removed my default nudes.   I even removed the last pajamas that I downloaded and the meshes too but nothing helps.   The teens and elders and children are okay, just the adults.   I can't think of what to do next.   Nothing helps.  Even though they never wear the defaults, it bugs me to not have but one color working.    Here is picture of the mens defaults,   all blue.

Try going into the thumbnails file in your Sims 2 directory (under My Documents) and deleting the one with CAS in the name.  Sometimes the thumbnails get fracked up, and letting the game rebuild them fixes it.

I just did that and it did not help.  I even deleted the groups cache.   I guess I will have to reinstall the last Ep.

Someone who knows SimPE much better than I could probably tell you how to determine which base game file holds those items, and you could try replacing just that file (or files) from your original game discs.

It doesn't look like a texture issue; that wouldn't likely mess up both male and female, and it looks like the nightlife PJ is messed too, and that uses a completely different mesh.  Have you tried completely without custom content to tell if it's game files or CC?

I was general because those packages get fucked up whether by user stupidity or not and we don't know who/what was the cause.  What was important was the link on how to fix it.  Get over yourself.

The link helped me. I was suddenly missing my adult swim trunks. Sims wearing these only had a floating head and no body. Now I know what caused the problem and how to fix it. Thanks for posting that link.
