Start Bar Tray Problems

For some reason, anything that leaves an icon in the system is creating illegal operations and is therefore being closed. So far, this has effected my wireless internet, messengers, and my anti-virus. I haven't added anything new recently, so I'm not sure what is causing this.

Checked for viruses and spyware already (after some effort). I feel that it's a setting problem somewhere.
