My brother ( a recent convert to sims) is having trouble with his game. Hope someone here can help him!
Since starting to play today having installed it on an external hard-drive, he has found that his game is nw onlt regestering that he has the base game and sesons installed, even tho he has all of them on his PC ... any clues? He's desperate and im clueless!!

Do you mean that the folders for the EPs are missing from the EA GAMES folder under Program Files? If that's the case, it is very strange.

ETA: Is it possible that the EPs were installed on the primary hard drive, rather than the external hard drive that the base game is installed on? The default location for installing games on a PC is the C drive, and this is where the computer will try to install a new game, unless otherwise directed. Perhaps your brother forgot to enter a new path when installing the EPs.

I have two hard drives on the same computer, albeit they are both internal. I installed the base game and three EPs on one and Pets on the other. No more weirdness than usual.

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I had similar problems once when installing the EPs, and patching them, out of order.
